The number seven is known to be a lucky number, and it proved itself last night, as multiple drawings featured the number seven and featured some big wins for the players!

Publix is also lucky in Florida

While the number seven is lucky, it seems like buying your lottery tickets from a Publix is also lucky, at least in Florida.

Two winning Mega Millions tickets for the Tuesday, June 11, drawing were sold at two different Publix grocery stores. The stores happen to be in the same city and on the same road, and, of course, the lucky number seven was involved.

The two winning Mega Millions tickets are both worth $4 million. The winning white ball numbers for the June 11 Mega Millions drawing were 1, 5, 7, 22, and 24, and the Megaball was 8 with a Megaplier of 4.

The two winning tickets matched all of the white ball numbers to win $1 million, but then both tickets had the Megaplier option added on to increase their winnings to $4 million each.

One of the tickets was sold at Publix, located at 10500 Ulmerton Road in Largo. The second winning ticket was sold at Publix, located at 10411 Ulmerton Road in Largo. The two Publix stores are across the street from each other.

In addition to the two Florida winners, a lucky ticket sold in New York also matched the five white ball numbers and had the Megaplier option to win $4 million.

How does the Megaplier option work in Mega Millions?

For players choosing the Megaplier option, which costs an extra $1 per ticket, it will increase any non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, or 5 times. Before each Mega Millions drawing, the Megaplier is drawn.

For the Megaplier drawing, there is a pool of 15 balls. Of the 15 balls, five are marked with 2X, six are marked with 3X, three are marked with 4X, and one is marked with 5X. Whatever ball is drawn will increase those non-jackpot prizes by that amount, so 4X for the June 11 drawing.

When is the next Mega Millions drawing?

For Mega Millions drawings, they are held at 11 p.m. ET on Tuesdays and Fridays. The next drawing will take place on Friday, June 14.

No tickets matched all six of the winning numbers for the June 11 drawing, so the estimated jackpot for the June 14 drawing is $47 million.

Fantasy 5 delivered two wins with lucky number seven

Besides the two Florida Mega Millions winners, the Florida Lottery announced two other winners in the Fantasy 5 drawing last night, which also happened to have lucky number 7 as one of the winning numbers.

The winning numbers for the evening Fantasy 5 drawing were 7, 9, 10, 11, and 18. One of the winning tickets was sold at Malabar Discount Beverage, located at 6165 Babcock St. SE in Palm Bay. The second winning ticket was purchased at Timuquana Food Mart Inc., located at 5102-1 Timuquana Road in Jacksonville.

Each of the winning tickets is worth $53,219.87.

Not so lucky in Jackpot Triple Play

While the lucky number 7 trend continued in the Jackpot Triple Play drawing, the trend of winners stopped. The winning numbers for the Jackpot Triple Play drawing for June 11 were 7, 8, 9, 11, 27, and 41.

However, nobody won the $775,000 jackpot last night, pushing the jackpot up to $900,000 for the next drawing, which will be held on Friday, June 14.

Enjoy playing the Florida Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
