Someone in Ohio just got a golden ticket — literally. A Lucky for Life player has managed to do what most of us only daydream about: land the game's elusive top prize.

The win could mean pocketing $1,000 every single day for life or walking away with a multimillion-dollar lump sum. Lottery officials aren't spilling all the details just yet, but they've confirmed the winning ticket was sold in the Buckeye State. Now the question is…who's holding it?

Top prize won in Ohio

One lucky ticketholder in Ohio is feeling pretty good today. Why? They are holding onto a winning ticket from the Lucky for Life draw game worth $1,000 a day for life — or a one-time lump sum payment of $5.75 million.

Lottery officials announced a Lucky for Life ticket purchased in Ohio matched all five of the winning white ball numbers and the Lucky Ball number on Tuesday, August 12, drawing to win the game's grand prize.

The winning numbers for last night's drawing were 1, 11, 18, 29, and 34, and the Lucky Ball number was 15.

If you happen to be holding onto this winning ticket, you have 180 days to validate and cash it. The odds of winning the top prize in Lucky for Life are 1 in 30.82 million.
