All Virginia Lottery claim centers are open.
The Virginia Lottery Headquarters is closed until further notice.
The prize claim period for tickets that expire during the state of emergency has been increased to up to 30 days after the state of emergency is lifted.
Prizes of less than $600 can be claimed at any Virginia Lottery retailer. Please remember that retailers don't keep large amounts of cash available so they may pay your prize amount with a check or money order. Alternatively, you can claim your prize from a Virginia Lottery customer service center, one of the prize zones or claim via mail. If the prize amount is larger than $100 you'll need to provide a valid photo ID and proof of your SSN.
All prizes over $600 can be claimed by mail or at any of the Virginia Lottery Customer Service Centers or Claim Centers - remember to bring a valid photo ID and proof of your SSN when claiming in-person.
Requirements for claiming by mail: complete and sign the back of the ticket, fill out the Prize Claim Form, and include a copy of a valid photo ID and proof of the SSN.
All documents need to be mailed via certified mail to the Virginia Lottery Claims. Keep a copy of all documents for your records.

Prizes over $600 must be claimed at a Virginia Lottery customer service center or prize zone between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Yes. If your ticket is lost, damaged, or stolen and you haven’t signed it, you may not be able to claim it as your own. The Virginia Lottery is not responsible for lost or damaged tickets.
You can purchase online subscriptions for Powerball, Mega Millions, and Cash4Life. You cannot, however, purchase tickets by mail or phone.
Yes. Lottery winnings are subject to state and federal income taxes.
