It was a banner day for Florida Lottery players, with jackpots popping like beachside fireworks. From Jacksonville Beach to Jensen Beach, lucky winners scored big across multiple games, including one ticket that just hit an $8.75 million payday.

Curious who struck it rich and how many others came close? Let's dive into the Sunshine State's big wins from May 7.

Florida Lotto jackpot winner

The biggest win of the day came from the Florida Lotto draw game. One lucky ticket matched all of the winning numbers drawn during last night's draw to win the $8.75 million jackpot.

The winning numbers for the May 7 drawing were 1, 8, 12, 24, 33, and 47. The winning ticket was purchased at J and J Food Store, located at 632 Beach Blvd. in Jacksonville Beach.

The lucky winner now has 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize, so they have until November 4. After the big win last night, the Florida Lotto jackpot resets to $1 million.

This current jackpot run lasted 11 draws before last night's winner. The last jackpot win took place on March 29, when one lucky ticket matched all the winning numbers to win the $3 million jackpot that night.

Double winners in Fantasy 5 drawings

It was also a jackpot kind of day for Fantasy 5 players in Florida. For Fantasy 5, there are two drawings held every day. Both the Midday and Evening drawings happened to have two lucky tickets that matched all the winning numbers drawn to split the jackpot.

For the Midday drawing, the winning numbers were 6, 20, 29, 35, and 36. The two lucky winners split the jackpot, with each of them winning $27,456.70.

For the Evening drawing, the winning numbers were 3, 9, 26, 30, and 36. The two lucky winners split the jackpot for this drawing also, with each of them winning $57,818.25.

Why is there a difference between the jackpot wins for the Fantasy 5 players? While the estimated top prize is worth $200,000, the top three Fantasy 5 prizes are pari-mutuel, which means a percentage of the ticket sales is allocated to each prize category. Because of that, the prizes can vary for every draw.

Jackpot Triple Play continues its hot streak

While May 7 may have been a jackpot-winning day in Florida, it was a continuation from the day before, when one lucky player matched all the winning numbers drawn for the Jackpot Triple Play draw game to win the jackpot. This jackpot win happened to be the seventh time this year that someone has won the jackpot for this in-state draw game.

The winning numbers for the Tuesday, May 6, drawing were 3, 12, 17, 28, 32, and 33. The winning ticket was purchased at a Publix on Northwest Federal Highway in Jensen Beach.

As mentioned above, this is the seventh jackpot win of 2025 for this draw game. The other previous winners were:

  • April 29 — Winning ticket purchased at Publix in Clermont. The winning numbers were 9, 14, 21, 23, 32, and 34, and the jackpot was worth $625,000.
  • April 8 — Winning ticket purchased at Kwik Stop in Hollywood. The winning numbers were 14, 20, 31, 35, 42, and 44, and the jackpot was worth $275,000.
  • April 1 — No April Fool's here! The winning ticket was purchased at Cumberland Farms in Titusville. The winning numbers were 1, 31, 32, 39, 40, and 46, and the jackpot was worth $400,000.
  • March 18 — Winning ticket purchased at Sunshine in Cutler Bay. The winning numbers were 3, 9, 23, 36, 39, and 46, and the jackpot was worth $250,000.
  • March 14 — Winning ticket purchased at Publix in Englewood. The winning numbers were 5, 12, 18, 28, 37, and 41, and the jackpot was worth $550,000.
  • February 25 — Winning ticket purchased at Amigos Store in Boynton Beach. The winning numbers were 7, 24, 25, 26, 32, and 43, and the jackpot was worth $2 million.
