Giving back to the Bay State

Since its launch in 1972, the Massachusetts State Lottery has become a significant contributor to the state's economic well-being. Over $32 billion in net profit has been returned to the Commonwealth for unrestricted local aid. This means resources are provided to cities and towns across Massachusetts, supporting vital programs and services that benefit residents.
