A single ticket. Six numbers. One $6.79 million jackpot.

That's what happened Saturday night when a Michigan Lottery player matched all six numbers drawn for Lotto 47. The winning numbers were 04-16-28-30-36-37. One ticket. One millionaire.

Where the winning ticket was sold

The ticket was bought at Northland Food Center, 2377 East M-113 in Kingsley. Kingsley is about 15 miles southeast of Traverse City.

Somewhere in that small town, someone is holding a ticket worth nearly $7 million. They may not even know it yet.

A big year for Lotto 47

Saturday's win was the fifth Lotto 47 jackpot claimed this year. The last one came in April, when a player in New Boston won $1.67 million. That ticket was bought at New Boston Fuel Stop Inc, 37330 Huron River Road, about 30 miles southeast of Ann Arbor.

Five jackpots in one year. Lotto 47 keeps paying out.

How to claim the prize

Anyone holding Saturday's winning ticket should call the Lottery's Player Relations division at 844-917-6325 to schedule a claim appointment. Lotto 47 tickets stay valid for one year from the draw date. No rush, but no reason to wait either.

How Lotto 47 works

Each play costs $1. Players pick six numbers from 1 to 47. The jackpot starts at $1 million and climbs until someone wins it.

For more chances to win, add Double Play for $1 more per play, and you're in the running for up to $1.5 million in the nightly Double Play drawing. Add EZMatch for another $1, and you could win up to $500 instantly.

Ticket sales follow a tight window. In-store and online sales for the current draw close at 7:08 p.m. ET on drawing night. In-store sales for the next draw open two minutes later, at 7:10 p.m. ET. Online sales for the next draw also open after 7:08 p.m. ET.

Cash option or annuity

Lotto 47 jackpot winners and Double Play top-prize winners get a choice. Take the cash option, a single lump-sum payment. Or take the annuity, spread out over 30 years.

Winners have 60 days from the date they claim their prize to choose the cash option.

Shared prizes

If two or more tickets match all six numbers, the jackpot splits equally among the winners. The same goes for the Double Play top prize: more than two winners, and the prize gets divided evenly.

Will you be the next winner? Please play Lotto 47 responsibly.
