Arizona Lottery players are getting more ways to play and more chances to win. From a brand-new Pick 4 game and additional daily drawings to a new Powerball Double Play option and a massive one-time jackpot boost for The Pick, the Arizona Lottery is rolling out one of its biggest game updates in years as it celebrates its 45th anniversary.

Changes to draw games

The Arizona Lottery is making some changes to its draw games. To start, the Pick 3 game will be adding a second daily draw.

In addition to the traditional 7:05 p.m. drawing time, there will be a second midday drawing taking place for Pick 2 players. That drawing will take place at 12:05 p.m.

The Arizona Lottery also announced the addition of a brand new daily game. Pick 4 launched on June 14, 2026.

This new $1 daily game will also hold drawings twice a day at 12:05 p.m. and 7:05 p.m., like the Pick 3 game.

For this new game, players will select four numbers between zero and nine. They have multiple play options for their ticket, including straight, box, straight/box, front pair, mid pair, and back pair.

Arizona Lottery adds Double Play

A new add-on option will now be available for Powerball players in Arizona. Lottery officials announced the addition of Double Play, a $1 add-on feature that gives Powerball players a second chance to win using the same numbers they selected for the main drawing.

For just an extra dollar per play, players can enter a separate drawing with a top prize of $10 million, creating another opportunity to turn a Powerball ticket into a big payday.

This feature costs $1 to add on to your regular Powerball ticket. Players who choose it will use the same numbers in both the regular Powerball drawing and the Double Play drawing.

The Double Play drawing takes place about 30 minutes after the main Powerball drawing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. This means that a single set of numbers could potentially win prizes in both drawings.

Changes coming to The Pick

To celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Arizona Lottery, officials announced they would be adding $4.5 million directly to The Pick jackpot for the Wednesday, June 17, drawing. This one-time addition marks the biggest upgrade to Arizona’s flagship draw game since its launch in 1984.

In a press release, Arizona Lottery Executive Director Alec Thomson said, “For 45 years, Arizona Lottery players have been at the heart of our mission. This $4.5 million jackpot boost is our way of saying thank you and offer players a chance to celebrate 45 years of investing in a stronger Arizona.”

For The Pick, it currently costs $2 per play, but it offers improved odds of 1 in 30. These improved odds came after officials changed the number of balls from 44 to 40. Lottery officials announced The Pick would also now include a new built-in multiplier, which can increase non-jackpot prizes by up to five times.

In addition, lottery officials introduced “The Pick Plus,” a $1 add-on game. The Pick Plus would be printed on a separate ticket and gives players a chance to win immediate cash prizes.

Enjoy playing the Arizona Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
