Someone in the Bronx just landed the kind of win most of us only dream about — one that keeps the cash flowing week after week. It happened during a lucky July night in New York, where a simple stop at a neighborhood deli turned into a lifetime payout. But that wasn't the only big win lighting up the Empire State. Could your ticket be next?

A lifetime of winnings

It was a big night in New York on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. One lucky ticket purchased in the Bronx matched all five of the winning white ball numbers to win the second-tier prize of $1,000 a week for life in the multi-state draw game Cash4Life.

The winning ticket was purchased at Jeffrey Deli Grocery, located at 2149 Valentine Ave. in the Bronx. The winning white ball numbers for last night's drawing were 6, 33, 35, 45, and 55, and the Cash Ball number was 4.

If they match all of the winning white ball numbers, the ticket holder wins $1,000 a week for life. The lucky winner can opt to receive $52,000 a year for life or get a lump sum one-time payment of $1 million.

Other big wins in New York

It was a winning kind of day for New York Lottery players yesterday. In addition to the Cash4Life win, we also saw two players win the top prize for the midday drawing of the Take 5 draw game, and then one lucky player won the third-tier prize during last night's Powerball drawing.

For the Take 5 drawing, the winning numbers for the July 9, 2025, midday drawing were 1, 5, 11, 14, and 20. The two winning tickets that matched all five of the numbers drawn were purchased at:

  • H & I Grocery, located at 2847 86th St. in Brooklyn.
  • P&A Wine Warehouse, located at 601 Portion Rd. in Ronkonkoma.

Both of the prize-winning tickets were worth $8,980.50.

For the Powerball drawing, the winning white ball numbers were 5, 9, 25, 28, and 69, and the winning Powerball number was 5. The winning ticket, which matched four of the five white ball numbers and the Powerball number to win $50,000, was purchased at Mobil Mart, located at 1001 Route 94 in New Windsor.

How to claim your prize

If you happen to be holding onto one of these winning tickets, you can claim your prize at any New York Lottery Customer Service Center, Prize Claim Center, or by mail. To redeem your prize, you will need to provide your winning ticket, a filled-out winner claim form, a valid government-issued ID, and a valid Social Security number or FEIN.
