What are the odds of winning $77,777 on 7/7? For M. Butler, the answer is perfect timing.

The Pulaski County woman claimed her prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on July 7. She won playing Red White & Blue 7s, a $5 instant game. The winning ticket came from Road Runner #15 at 500 Broadway in Little Rock.

"I was just going to my Shell to buy my tickets like I always do," Butler explained to lottery officials.

A routine turned extraordinary

Butler follows the same lottery routine every week. She's no stranger to winning either. The ASL Claim Center has seen her twice before: once for $1,000 and once for $5,000.

She typically plays $10 and $20 games like Psychedelic Payout or 200X the Cash. But this time, the newly launched Red White & Blue 7s caught her eye.

Butler returned home with her ticket. She sat in her room with fresh coffee and began scratching. She was experienced with scratch-off games.

Then she realized something different. This ticket held a $77,777 top prize. She told ASL officials:

I wasn't expecting it at all. I thought, 'Is this real? Are they pranking me?'

The moment of truth

Butler scanned her ticket on the official AR Lottery + Club app. The result was a visit to the ASL Claim Center to collect your winnings.

At the Claim Center, she made an amusing discovery. She was claiming her $77,777 prize on 7/7.

"That's called synchronicity!" she said.

What's next for the winner?

Butler hasn't shared the news with anyone yet. But she hopes to help her family with her winnings.

Red White & Blue 7s still has two $77,777 top prizes remaining. Will another player experience their own synchronicity moment?

Another big win in Arkansas

Edward Alexander from Jacksonville also had reason to celebrate. He won $50,000 playing $1,000,000 Jackpot and claimed his prize on July 9.

The winning ticket came from Discount Tobacco Jacksonville at 501 S. James St. Edward plays almost daily and had won $20 earlier that day. He cashed in those winnings for the $1,000,000 Jackpot ticket. Edward recalled the moment after finding the winning number:

There it was! I had to look at it three or four times to make sure I was correct.

The $1,000,000 Jackpot game still has two top prizes worth $1 million each and one second-tier prize worth $50,000.
