A big shoutout to a fortunate Powerball player in Lebanon who struck gold, matching four of five white balls along with the Powerball to pocket a cool $50,000. Meanwhile, brace yourselves as the jackpot for this immensely popular multi-state game has soared to $532 million.

The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K, 667 Hartman Drive in Lebanon. Unfortunately, no further details are available until the prize is claimed.

How to claim the winnings

Are you the lucky winner? In Tennessee, prizes totaling $600 or more can be claimed by mailing in the actual signed winning ticket (no copies accepted), along with appropriate documentation and a completed claim form, to P.O. Box 290636, Nashville, TN 37229-0636.

It's important to note that all claims for drawing-style tickets must be made or postmarked (if mailed) within 180 days after the official winning draw date for that ticket.

If you're fortunate enough to clinch a Powerball jackpot, you've got 60 days from the date of entitlement to select either the lump sum or annuity payment. Annuity payments for these jackpots will be disbursed in 30 graduated annual payments.

How to play the Tennessee Lottery

Tennessee Lottery games are not just entertaining but also easy to play. The lottery offers both instant and drawing-style games. Drawing-style games allow you to pick or let the computer choose a series of numbers. Instant games, or scratch-offs, come in various designs and offer instant gratification.

How to play Powerball

  • Pick your number of plays: Each ticket has five play areas (A–E) with boxes numbered 1–69 in the upper white play area and 1–26 in the lower shaded play area. You can opt for a single set of numbers (A) or up to five sets (A–E), with each play costing $2.00.
  • Pick your numbers: Select any five numbers ranging from 1–69 and one Powerball number from 1–26 in each play area, or mark the quick pick box on your playslip to let the computer do the picking for you.
  • Play multiple drawings: Mark the appropriate multi-draw box to play your chosen numbers for up to 10 consecutive drawings (including the current drawing).
  • Add Power Play: For an additional $1.00 per play, add Power Play to your play slip. This feature could significantly multiply your winnings.
  • Add Double Play: For an extra $1.00 per play, include Double Play on your playslip.
  • Buy your ticket: There are four play options for Powerball: a $2 Powerball ticket, a $3 Powerball with Power Play ticket, a $3 Powerball with Double Play ticket, or a $4 Powerball with Power Play and Double Play ticket.
  • Check your winnings: Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
