Better odds, bigger wins: Club Keno's fresh start for 2025

Michigan Lottery is revamping Club Keno with player-focused improvements, which will launch on January 5, 2025. The changes introduce new ways to win and better odds through three major upgrades: a new Plus 3 add-on game, modified KICKER multipliers, and enhanced jackpot potential with The Jack.

More chances to win with Plus 3

The new Plus 3 add-on revolutionizes the Club Keno experience by adding three extra winning numbers to every draw. After the standard 20 Club Keno numbers are drawn, three additional Plus 3 numbers are selected. This gives players 23 numbers to match against their selections, significantly improving their winning odds.

Plus 3 replaces the previous Extra add-on game and costs double the base Club Keno wager. For players who regularly use KICKER, Plus 3 works seamlessly with the multiplier feature to maximize potential winnings.

Better prize multiplication with KICKER changes

The KICKER multiplier game is being optimized to deliver more frequent prize multiplications. By removing the 10X multiplier, players will see the 2X, 3X, 4X, and 5X multipliers appear more often. This change reduces the frequency of 1X draws, which effectively increases players' chances of multiplying their winnings.

The cost structure remains straightforward: KICKER doubles the combined Club Keno and Plus 3 wager. While KICKER doesn't apply to The Jack prizes, it multiplies both standard Club Keno and Plus 3 winnings when applicable.

Bigger jackpots with The Jack

The Jack's transformation from an eight-spot to a nine-spot progressive jackpot game creates the potential for larger prize pools. The jackpot starts at $10,000 and continues growing until someone matches all nine numbers. This change is expected to generate more substantial jackpots due to the increased difficulty of matching nine numbers.

The Jack remains accessible at just $1 per drawing, making it an affordable way to chase life-changing prizes. Players receive nine Easy Pick numbers printed at the bottom of their ticket.

Club Keno maintains its fast-paced game with drawings every three and a half minutes. Players can watch drawings and check results in real time at the Michigan Lottery website.

For regular players, the Replay feature offers a quick way to repeat previous bets. Within 31 days of the original ticket, players can replicate all their selections, including numbers, wager amounts, and add-on choices.

A winning record

The game's popularity is evident in the numbers: Michigan Lottery players won more than $394 million playing Club Keno and its features in 2023. These new improvements are focused on better odds and more winning opportunities for players in 2025.
