Can you imagine what it is like to wake up a millionaire? That's the reality for a Pennsylvania resident after a winning Mega Millions ticket was sold in Allegheny County for the Tuesday, May 14 drawing.

The ticket, purchased at Kuhn's Market on Banksville Road in Pittsburgh, matched all five white balls (13-19-43-62-64) but missed the yellow Mega Ball (6). While it wasn't the jackpot, it's still a life-altering $3 million prize, thanks to the lucky addition of the $1 Megaplier option.

This win is a reminder that every ticket holds the potential for a big win. Don't let those tickets languish at the bottom of your purse or wallet!  More than 38,800 other Pennsylvania Lottery Mega Millions tickets won prizes in the drawing, so take a few minutes to check your numbers carefully. It could be you who's holding the next big winner!

Claiming the prize

For the lucky ticket holder in Pittsburgh, there's no need to rush. Winners have a full year from the drawing date to claim their prize. If you purchased your ticket at Kuhn's Market, sign the back immediately to solidify your claim. Online winners can expect their windfall to be deposited securely into their account after the claim is processed.

For more information on the claiming process, visit our Pennsylvania Lottery page. The site also details how to file a claim online if you were an online winner.

The jackpot keeps growing

The Mega Millions jackpot continues to climb. With no winner for the Tuesday drawing, the estimated annuity value for the next drawing on Friday, May 17, has ballooned to a staggering $393 million. That translates to a tempting $181.5 million cash option.

You can try your shot at becoming the next Mega Millions multi-millionaire! Tickets can be purchased online or at any participating Pennsylvania Lottery retailer. To find a retailer near you, simply visit the "Find a Retailer" section on the Pennsylvania Lottery website.

Giving back to Pennsylvanians

Every Mega Millions ticket purchased goes towards a good cause. The Pennsylvania Lottery is the only state lottery that dedicates all its proceeds to programs that benefit older residents in the state. Since 1972, the Pennsylvania Lottery has contributed over $35.1 billion to support Pennsylvania's senior population.

These funds go towards property tax and rent rebates, essential transportation services, care services, prescription drug assistance, and local services like senior centers and meal programs. So, when you play Mega Millions, you're not just playing for yourself; you're also helping to ensure a brighter future for Pennsylvania's senior citizens.
