The 2024 NASCAR Powerball Playoff is a great opportunity for racing fans and lottery fans to join forces and have some fun while trying to win $1 million!

The Mississippi Lottery announced they are going full throttle for the 2024 NASCAR Powerball Playoff and hoping to crown another Mississippian as the $1 million champion.

2023 NASCAR Powerball Playoff

In 2023, the partnership between NASCAR and Powerball kicked off with this inaugural event. For the first year, Mississippi's Stephanie Walker took home the $1 million prize during the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race, which was broadcast live from Phoenix.

Even more prizes for 2024

For the 2024 promotion, the Mississippi Lottery announced they are giving away even more prizes! Mississippi Lottery Insiders will have the chance to win even more $50,000 prizes over the course of qualifiers for the NASCAR Powerball Playoff.

Once players make it into the playoff, they will be trimmed down to the final four. Those final four contestants will get the opportunity to attend a special drawing, which will be broadcast live from the Phoenix Raceway during NASCAR Championship Weekend, November 8-11. They will have the chance to win the $1 million prize during that weekend.

Qualifying Races for Mississippi Lottery

For the Mississippi Lottery's portion of the 2024 promo, they will feature four Qualifying Races, with five winners being crowned each round. It pays to win early during these races, as the breakdown is as follows:

  • First Round — The five lucky contestants drawn will receive $2,500.
  • Second Round — The five lucky contestants drawn will receive $2,000.
  • Third Round — The five lucky contestants drawn will receive $1,500.
  • Fourth Round — The five lucky contestants drawn will receive $1,000.

The first drawing for the Qualifying Races will take place on April 3, so make sure you get signed up before then!

Champion's Races for Mississippi Lottery

The 20 contestants picked during the four Qualifying Races will then be entered into the Champion's Race. This will be a random drawing taking place on May 15, where the first-place winner will be awarded $10,000, the second place will win $5,000, and the third place will be awarded $2,500.

Then it's on to the NASCAR Powerball Playoffs

These 20 contestants from Mississippi will then join Powerball's national pool of semi-finalists. The Powerball group will determine 16 semi-finalists by a random drawing. These 16 semi-finalists will be announced on September 1 during the Cookout Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway.

From there, the semi-finalists will compete in a series of drawings that coincide with the elimination rounds of the NASCAR Playoffs. The competition will be dwindled down to four finalists, who will win a VIP trip to the NASCAR Cup Series Championship weekend at Phoenix Raceway.

Each of the finalists will be allowed to bring one guest with them for a full VIP experience in Phoenix, Arizona, from November 8-11, 2024. It will be an even more special weekend for one of the finalists, who will win $1 million in a drawing broadcast live from the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race.

How to enter

There's no purchase necessary to win, but you do have to be a Mississippi Lottery Insider to receive an entry form link for each drawing. You can sign up to be a Mississippi Lottery Insider directly on their website if you aren't one already. Limit one entry per player per round of qualifying drawings.

All winners will be selected randomly, and each winning NASCAR Powerball Playoff entrant will be notified by certified mail.

If you are selected for the Mississippi NASCAR Powerball Promotion, then you are required to sign a release form authorizing the Multi-State Lottery Association to publicize your name. If you fail or refuse to sign the form, another entrant will be selected.

Enjoy playing the Mississippi Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
