Hold onto your hats, Bismarck! A lucky resident just won $100,000 in the April 1 Powerball drawing. This isn't an April Fool's joke – it's the real deal.

The winning ticket, purchased at Family Fare Supermarket on North 11th Street, matched four white balls (19, 24, 40, 42, 56) and the red Powerball (23). What really makes this win special is the Power Play option. For just $1 more, the player doubled their prize money from $50,000 to $100,000.

Have you checked your tickets? The North Dakota Lottery gives winners 180 days to claim their prize. If you think you might be the lucky winner, here's what to do:

  • Sign the back of your ticket immediately. Don't forget to fill out the information on the back as well.
  • Head to North Dakota Lottery's Bismarck office to claim your prize. The address is 1720 Burlington Drive, Suite C, Bismarck, ND 58504.
  • Alternatively, mail your claim form. You can pick one up at any lottery retailer or download it from our North Dakota Lottery page. Once completed and signed, mail the form along with your ticket to North Dakota Lottery, PO Box 204, Bismarck, ND 58502-0204.

Thinking about joining the Powerball fun? Here's a quick guide:

  • Tickets cost $2 each.
  • Pick five white balls from 1 to 69 and one red Powerball from 1 to 26.
  • The overall odds of winning are 1 in 24.87.
  • Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday night.
  • There are nine ways to win a prize! Match anywhere from two white balls to hitting the jackpot of all five white balls plus the Powerball. Don't forget about the Power Play option! For an extra dollar, you can multiply your non-jackpot winnings (except matching five white balls only) by up to ten times!
