Lottery players in the Palmetto state have been playing the Palmetto Cash 5 draw game since 2002. The South Carolina Lottery recently made these changes to the game.

  • Ticket cost: Each play of Palmetto Cash 5 has increased from $1 to $2.
  • Rolling jackpot: Each jackpot now starts at $100,000 and will increase by at least $10,000 each day until it’s won.
  • Bigger non-jackpot prizes: All non-jackpot prizes will be multiplied by X2, X3, X5 or X10. A random multiplier will be assigned to each play.

How to play Palmetto Cash 5

This is a $2 draw game with a rolling jackpot. To play, you must select five numbers between 1 and 42. If you don’t wish to choose your own numbers, you can opt to have them selected at random by selecting the Quick Pick box on your play slip. You may play up to 40 consecutive draws by checking the multi-draw box on your play slip.

The prize amounts for this game depend on the number of winners sharing the prize pool. But are estimated at the following levels:

Match Prize Odds
5 Jackpot 1 in 850,668
4 $300 1 in 4,598
3 $5 1 in 128
2 $1 1 in 11

The game has four ways to win prizes between $2 and the jackpot. The jackpot starts at $100,000 and increases by at least $10,000 each day until it’s won. The game has built-in multipliers, with all non-jackpot prizes being multiplied randomly by X2, X3, X5, or X10. Drawings are held every day at 6:59 p.m. and you can watch them on your local TV station.
