It was a winning weekend in Rhode Island, as there were back-to-back winners for the Wild Money game, and one of them landed the third-largest jackpot in the game's history.

First Wild Money jackpot winner

The first jackpot win for Wild Money came on Friday, July 12, 2024. The winning numbers for that drawing were 4, 6, 18, 22, and 32, and the Extra Ball was 9.

One lucky ticket matched the five main numbers to win the $501,684 jackpot, which was the third largest in the game's history. The winning ticket was purchased from Western Hotel, located at 610 Douglas Pike in Harrisville.

Lottery officials announced the jackpot had been claimed by a man from Lincoln.

Second Wild Money jackpot winner

The winnings didn't stop there in Rhode Island, as the jackpot restarted at $20,000 for the Saturday, July 13 drawing. And just like that, another winner was crowned!

The winning numbers for the July 13 drawing were 8, 9, 14, 19, and 29, and the Extra Ball was 24. The winning ticket was purchased from AJ Food Market, located at 676 Broad St. in Providence.

While the first jackpot winner came forward and claimed their prize, the second jackpot remains unclaimed.

Wild Money, which is a daily draw game in Rhode Island, moves on. Tonight's estimated jackpot is $22,000, with tickets costing $1 per play. The drawing airs nightly at 7:29 p.m. ET.

More weekend winners

The winning kept coming for Rhode Island Lottery players over the weekend. On Saturday, July 13, 2024, Matthew Card of Bradford won $18,000 playing Keno Plus.

He bought his winning ticket at Speedway, located at 764 Tiogue Avenue in Coventry. After claiming his winnings, he told state lottery officials he plans on putting that money towards bills.

Lottery Week celebrations

If you weren't aware, we are currently in Lottery Week, which takes place from July 14-20 this year. Lottery Week is a celebration organized by the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL).

Lottery Week was started to help highlight the positive impacts state lotteries have on communities, including providing funding for education, public health, and other state programs. Each state celebrated it differently, but it usually included various activities, promotions, and events to help raise awareness about the contributions and benefits of state lotteries.

The Rhode Island Lottery is one of those states that are joining other Lotteries across the country to celebrate Lottery Week. It also happens to be the 50th Golden Anniversary year for the Rhode Island Lottery, so they are offering a special Keno “Golden Hours” promotion daily at Lottery retailers from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. ET all week.

For this promotion, any Keno player who wagers $5 or more on a single Keno ticket will get a free $1 4-spot Keno Quick Pick. That $1 ticket could help lead you to one of the big wins mentioned above!

Enjoy playing the Rhode Island Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
