After more than six months of anticipation, Missouri finally has a new Lotto jackpot winner. The game's top prize had been steadily climbing since the last big win in September, growing to an impressive $6.3 million.

With each drawing, players eagerly watched the jackpot rise, wondering who would be the next lucky winner. That question was answered last night when a single ticket sold in Lake St. Louis matched all six numbers, securing a life-changing windfall. Now, as excitement builds, all eyes are on the mystery winner — could it be you?

A months-long climb

We saw quite a jackpot run for the Lotto draw game from the Missouri Lottery. The last jackpot win took place on September 11, 2024, when one lucky person won the $3.4 million jackpot that night.

Since that drawing, the Lotto jackpot has been growing and growing. For last night's drawing, the jackpot stood at $6.3 million, and we finally have a winner.

The winning numbers for the March 19 drawing were 5, 8, 30, 32, 39, and 40. One lucky ticket, which was purchased at Rocket, located at 463 Hawk Ridge Trail in Lake St. Louis, matched all six of the winning numbers to win the jackpot.

In addition to the jackpot winner, there were also 14,635 winners of prizes ranging from a free ticket to $656. For the Lotto draw game, the prizes are pari-mutuel, which means a percentage of the ticket sales is allocated to each prize category. Because of that, the prize amounts can vary for every draw.

Claiming your prize

If you happen to be the lucky person who bought your Lotto ticket from the Rocket in Lake St. Louis, then you have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim your prize. That means you have until September 15, 2025, to claim your winnings.

To claim your prize, you can make an appointment at any of the lottery's four offices, which are located in St. Louis, Jefferson City, Springfield, and Kansas City.

When claiming your winnings, you have two options: receive the prize in one lump-sum payment, which is approximately half of the $6.3 million, or you can receive the full amount in 25 annual payments, minus taxes.
