If you happen to live in Michigan and you enjoy playing the different lottery games, you may want to buy a Lucky for Life ticket real soon.

For the second time in two nights, a Michigan Lottery player has won a lifetime of cash. In back-to-back drawings, the Lottery has had one lucky winner take home the $25,000 a year for life prize while playing Lucky for Life.

Big wins in Lucky for Life

Lucky for Life has been an extremely lucky game for Michigan Lottery players in 2024. This current big win marks the fifth time this year, the fourth time this month, and the second time in as many drawings that a Michigan player has won a lifetime prize playing this draw game.

For the Tuesday, March 26, drawing, the five white balls were 18, 25, 34, 39, 48, and the Lucky Ball number was 12. The lucky winning ticket in Michigan matched all five of the white balls to win the big prize. The winning ticket was purchased at Merriman Drugs, located at 31320 5 Mile Road in Livonia.

This was the second night in a row with a big win. For the Monday, March 25, drawing, the five white balls were 1, 4, 31, 39, 47, and the Lucky Ball number was 5. A player who purchased their ticket online matched all five of the white balls to win $25,000 a year for life.

The other previous Lucky for Life big wins took place on:

  • March 23 - The winning ticket was purchased at the Value Center Market, located at 27428 6 Mile Road in Livonia.
  • March 12 - The winning ticket was purchased online, and a lucky woman from Escanaba recently claimed that prize.
  • February 20 - This winning ticket was purchased at Borders Corner Store, located at 7024 East Pickard Road in Mount Pleasant.

Claiming the big prize in Lucky for Life

While these lucky winners are said to have won $25,000 a year for life, the Michigan Lottery gives players two options when collecting their winnings.

The winners can choose to get annual $25,000 payments for a minimum of 20 years or life, whichever is greater. If they don't want that option, they can also choose to get a one-time lump sum cash payment of $390,000.

If you happen to be one of these lucky winners, then you need to contact the Michigan Lottery Player Relations Division at 844-917-6325. During that call, you will schedule an appointment to collect the big prize.

These big prizes must be collected at the Lottery's headquarters in Lansing. The winners have one year from the drawing date to collect their Lucky for Life winnings. Otherwise, the tickets and winnings expire.
