A Macomb County woman's intuition paid off big time when she won the $1.72 million Lotto 47 jackpot. The lucky 62-year-old, who chose to remain anonymous, always had a feeling that she would win big. And on September 25, 2024, her hunch became reality.

The winning numbers for that night's drawing were 4-12-25-33-41-47. The woman, a frequent online player, purchased her winning ticket on the Michigan Lottery website.

She said:

I play Lotto 47 online often, and I always had a feeling I would win the jackpot one day. I was so excited when I saw the email from the Michigan Lottery notifying me of my $1.72 million jackpot win! I called my son and daughter-in-law to tell them the news, but I had a hard time getting the words out because I was so stunned.

Michigan Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli congratulated the winner, emphasizing the role of an upbeat outlook:

The power of positive thinking paid off for this lucky player, who won the $1.7 million Lotto 47 jackpot. Dreaming about life-changing jackpots and how they could impact your life is fun, but it is important to play responsibly. Our online games feature several tools that help promote safe and responsible play.

The winner opted for a one-time lump sum payment of approximately $1.2 million. She plans to use her winnings to purchase a new home and support her family.

A lucky streak for Michigan Lottery players

This $1.72 million Lotto 47 jackpot win is just one of many recent big wins in Michigan. An online player won a $1.72 million jackpot just weeks before this win. Another Macomb County man won an incredible $4.57 million playing Lotto 47 over the summer.

Dream big

For just $1 per play, you could be the next big winner. To play Lotto 47, simply select six numbers from 1 to 47. Drawings are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7:29 PM. You can purchase tickets at retailers or online.

Remember, every dollar spent on Michigan Lottery tickets supports Michigan's public schools. In 2023, the Lottery contributed over $1.3 billion to education, marking their fifth consecutive year of contributions exceeding $1 billion. Since its inception in 1972, the state lottery has contributed over $28 billion to Michigan's schools.

The next time you play Lotto 47, dream big and trust your intuition. You never know; your dream of winning big could also become a reality!
