Most lottery players seemed to be focused on the huge Mega Millions jackpot this weekend, which we can't blame them since it has soared to $627 million. However, there are a couple record-breaking jackpots available for players in Arkansas and Indiana also!

Arkansas Lottery — LOTTO jackpot keeps breaking records

Lottery players in Arkansas can win big this weekend with a draw game played and won exclusively in the state, which means you don't have to compete against all the people buying Mega Millions tickets right now! The game — LOTTO.

The LOTTO jackpot is now at $3.27 million for the Saturday, August 31 drawing. The jackpot has been breaking records for weeks now, as it continues to grow as the highest jackpot in the game's history. The previous highest jackpot for LOTTO was $2.34 million, which was claimed in May 2023.

LOTTO is a draw game that is only available in Arkansas. It was designed to give Arkansas Lottery players a chance to win bigger prizes, which it seems to be succeeding in doing.

The drawings take place every Wednesday and Saturday at 9 p.m. CT. For the drawing, six numbers between 1 and 40 are drawn, plus a bonus number. To win the jackpot, a player must match the first six numbers drawn.

Players who happen to match three or more of the winning numbers, with or without the bonus number, can win alternate prizes up to $25,000.

LOTTO tickets are $2 per play, and you can purchase them up until 8:59 p.m. CT on the night of the drawing.

The overall odds of winning in LOTTO are 1 in 18.3. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 3.84 million.

Indiana Lottery — Hoosier Lotto is the highest state jackpot out there right now!

Players in Indiana also have reason to celebrate (and hope for a big win). Their in-state draw game, Hoosier Lotto happens to currently rank as the largest state lottery jackpot available right now, which has reached $20.3 million for the Saturday, August 31 drawing!

In addition, it is the third-largest jackpot in the United States, coming in only behind Mega Millions and Powerball, which are sold nationwide.

Hoosier Lotto tickets can be purchased at any participating lottery retailer in the state and will cost you $2. Players also have the option of adding +PLUS for $1 more, which gives them a chance to win $1 million or other prizes in a second drawing that takes place right after the Hoosier Lotto drawing.

While the Hoosier Lotto jackpot happens to be the largest state lottery jackpot available right now, it isn't the largest Hoosier Lotto jackpot ever. The largest jackpot win for Hoosier Lotto took place on November 7, 2007, and was worth an estimated $54.5 million.

This current jackpot run started in December 2023 after the last jackpot win took place on December 6, 2023, when the winner of the estimated $44 million jackpot purchased their ticket at Lucky's Mart in Speedway.

The Hoosier Lotto drawings take place every Wednesday and Saturday at 11 p.m. ET, with ticket sales being open until 10:39 p.m. ET on the day of the drawing.

The overall odds of winning in Hoosier Lotto are 1 in 6. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 9.37 million.

Enjoy playing the Arkansas and Indiana Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
