If you play Cash 5 with Quick Cash and bought a ticket in Philadelphia for the May 11 drawing, you better see if you are holding onto a $250,000 winning ticket!

The winning ticket

The jackpot-winning ticket for the Cash 5 with Quick Cash draw game from the Pennsylvania Lottery was for the May 11 drawing. The winning numbers for that draw were 14, 17, 25, 32, and 40, and the lucky ticket matched all five balls to win $250,000 less withholdings.

The winning ticket was purchased at Front Page News, located at 1801 Oregon Avenue in Philadelphia. For selling the jackpot-winning ticket, the store will receive a $500 bonus.

Besides the jackpot-winning ticket, there were over 8,700 other Cash 5 with Quick Cash tickets that also won prizes in the drawing. The Pennsylvania Lottery urges every player to check every ticket every time and claim lower-tier prizes at a Lottery retailer.

Claiming your prize

Any winning tickets in the main Cash 5 draw game must be claimed within one year of the drawing date. If you win any prize in the Quick Cash game, those winning tickets must be claimed within one year of the purchase date.

If you are holding a jackpot-winning Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket, you should contact the nearest Lottery office for further instructions or call 1-800-692-7481. Since the ticket hasn't been claimed yet, the jackpot winner from above can't be identified yet.

Cash 5 with Quick Cash - how does it work?

This is a daily draw game held every night. The drawings take place at 6:59 p.m. ET.

To play Cash 5 with Quick Cash, players need to select five numbers between 1 and 43. If you don't want to select your own numbers, you can choose the Quick Pick option, and the computer will generate the numbers for you. To play, it will cost you $2.

With the Quick Cash option, this is an instant game that offers players the opportunity to win $2 or $6. For every Cash 5 ticket you purchase, you will get a Quick Cash play printed separately on a ticket.

How do you win? For Cash 5, there are four prize categories. The lowest prize is $2 for matching two numbers. If you happen to match all five numbers, you win the jackpot, which is 44% of the prize pool money. The minimum value for the jackpot is $150,000.

The odds of winning any prize in the main Cash 5 game are about 1 in 10.5, and the odds of winning the Cash 5 jackpot are 1 in 962,598.

Pennsylvania Lottery history

For a quick look back at the Pennsylvania Lottery, the state established a lottery on August 26, 1971. Tickets didn't start selling until March 7, 1972.

The first ticket sold was a 50-cent scratcher ticket featuring weekly drawings and a grand prize of $1 million.

Enjoy playing the Pennsylvania Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
