2-4-6-8, who do we appreciate? Georgia Cash 4 players winning $1.33M

Plenty of Georgia lottery players saw their numbers line up just right, cashing in big on a perfectly even Cash 4 draw.

It was a winning weekend for thousands of Georgia Lottery players as the Cash 4 evening drawing delivered a satisfying numerical sequence. It was all even for this easy-to-remember winning combo, which happened to bring 1,197 winning tickets and $1.33 million in prizes.

For those veteran lottery players, numbers with patterns — like consecutive even numbers like this one or quads — are often very popular picks. And this Cash 4 win from the Georgia Lottery was no exception.

Evens for the big win

Many lottery players love a good pattern. Whether it is triples (e.g., 1-1-1 or 7-7-7) and quads (four identical numbers, like 8-8-8-8), they often tend to lead to big payouts for the players that bet on them.

That was what happened this weekend in Georgia. Cash 4 Evening players saw the winning combination come up 2-4-6-8, which instantly had me thinking of the 2-4-6-8, who do we appreciate chant when I saw it. Anyone else?

The 1,197 winners were probably saying the same chant when they saw the winning numbers come up. With that win, the Georgia Lottery paid out a total of $1.33 million in prizes to the lucky winners. Depending on the wager amount, the most one ticket could have won is $5,000.

Even bigger win for Georgia

As we said, lottery players love these good numbers patterns. A lot of players will bet on the quads coming up for a game like Cash 4.

It happened in Georgia in 2024, as the Cash 4 Night drawing came up 5-5-5-5 on June 17, 2024. With that winning combination, there were 3,072 winning tickets sold. And what was the prize amount handed out? The Georgia Lottery handed out $7.11 million in prizes that night.

Not just in Georgia

The popularity of these winning number patterns isn't just in Georgia. It happens throughout the country, with players having superstitions or hunches that these quad wins are going to come up and pay out big time.

It just happened in North Carolina last month, as over 3,000 players matched 8-8-8-8 in their January 12, 2025, drawing. With all those winners cashing in, the South Carolina Lottery handed out $12.2 million in winnings.

We also saw it take place in South Carolina on November 16, 2024. For that Pick 4 drawing, the winning combination was 4-4-4-4. With 4s all around, lottery officials had over 3,200 winning tickets and handed out over $6.5 million in prizes.

Maybe you're next?

Even if you weren't one of the lucky winners this past weekend in Georgia, don't worry — lottery history suggests that fun sequences like this one come up again. So, make sure to bet on those hunches and superstitions and try to be one of the lucky players who cash in next time.

For now, to all the winners out there — 2-4-6-8, who do we appreciate? The Georgia Lottery for this great payout. And for those lottery players out there chasing their lucky number patterns — maybe next time, the pattern will be in your favor.

Enjoy playing the Georgia Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
