North Carolina is buzzing with excitement after a lucky resident snagged a $1 million prize in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing. This winning ticket, purchased online for just $2 in Fayetteville, matched all five white balls.

But that wasn’t the only big win in North Carolina.

Three other North Carolina players also won, each walking away with $10,000 prizes. These lucky tickets, also $2 each, matched four white balls and the coveted Mega Ball. They hailed from Raleigh (Han-Dee Hugo's on Buffaloe Road), Asheville (online play), and Granite Falls (Smoker Friendly on Pinewood Plaza Drive). Remember, winners have 180 days to claim their prizes, so don't delay.

Your shot at Mega Millions winnings

Feeling inspired? Mega Millions offers life-changing jackpots and nine ways to win. Imagine turning a simple $2 ticket into a massive payday.

The game itself is straightforward. Pick five white balls from 1 to 70 and a single yellow Mega Ball from 1 to 25. Feeling indecisive? No problem! Mark "Easy Pick" for randomly generated numbers.

For an extra dollar per play, add the Megaplier to your ticket. This option can multiply most non-jackpot prizes up to five times. That's a serious game-changer for just an extra dollar.

Mega Millions drawings happen twice a week, every Tuesday and Friday. That means you have two chances every week to become a Mega Millions millionaire.

Where to play? We got you covered

Playing Mega Millions is easy and convenient. Pick up a ticket at any lottery retailer in North Carolina. Feeling tech-savvy? Play online at the official lottery website. You can also download the North Carolina Lottery official mobile app and play from the comfort of your couch. While the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302 million, there are still nine ways to win prizes in Mega Millions.
