Scratch games have been popular with Iowa lottery players since the first one was launched in 1985. That debut game was called Scratch, Match & Win. By the time the game had ended, Iowans had purchased more than 28.1 million tickets. Nowadays, the Iowa Lottery launches new instant-win games almost every month. Here are some of the latest on offer:

  • Scrabble Crossword Game: This is a $10 instant-win game with prizes from $10 to $100,000.

How the lottery helps Iowa

The Iowa Lottery was launched in 1985. Since then, proceeds from the sale of lottery tickets have been used to provide support for a number of statewide projects through the General Fund and Vision Iowa Programs. The Hawkeye State Lottery also supports veterans, law enforcement, economic development, and tourism.
