A lucky lottery player from Vermont recently won a $244,363 jackpot playing a Fast Player PRO progressive lottery game.

The ticket was purchased from The Short Stop, located at 220 Court Street in Middlebury. The winner must sign their ticket and present it at the Vermont Lottery administrative office in Berlin, Vermont. Once they have submitted a completed claim form and shown their valid identification, they can receive their prize.

Vermont Fast Play PRO games

All Fast Play and Fast Play PRO games are popular in the Green Mountain State. That, combined with this big win, contributed to Vermont Lottery's best Fast Play PRO week in sales since January 2011. Fast Play PRO instant games are similar to the instant terminal Fast Play games except for their progressive rolling jackpot. Each Fast Play PRO game begins with a certain jackpot amount, which increases as more tickets are sold until the jackpot is won. Just like an instant ticket, Fast Play PRO games can be validated immediately without the player having to wait for a draw. Vermont has the following Fast Play PRO games on offer:

  • Blank Check: This is a $20 progressive instant game. The progressive jackpot starts at $10,000. If you match any winning numbers to any number on a check, you win the prize shown under that number. Each check is played separately.
  • Cash Blast: This progressive instant game has $1, $2, and $5 options. The progressive jackpot starts at $1,000. If you match all three of your numbers to the winning numbers, you win the prize shown for that game. If you match two numbers and get a DBL symbol, you win double the prize for the game. A $1 ticket wins 20% of the progressive jackpot. A $2 ticket wins 40%, and a $5 ticket wins 100% of the progressive jackpot.
  • Bluejack Bucks: This is a $10 progressive instant game. The progressive jackpot starts at $5,000. To win, add the two cards in each hand. If the total of the cards in any of your hands beats the dealer's hand, you win the prize shown for that hand. If your hand adds up to 21 exactly, you win double the prize for that hand. Each table is played separately. Jack, Queen, and King = 10, Ace = 11.

How the lottery helps Vermont

Since its launch in 1977, the Vermont Lottery has been dedicated to contributing 100% of its profits in support of Vermont communities. As of 1998, revenue has been used for the Vermont Education Fund. In 2022 alone, the Vermont Lottery donated $31,136,102 million to public education throughout the state. It also paid out $100,687,914 in prizes to players and $9,113,091 in commissions to retailers.

Enjoy playing the Vermont Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
