Splitting a jackpot can't be a bad thing, right?

One jackpot, double the winners

It looks like two lucky ticket holders in Monmouth County have reason to celebrate today, as they both matched all five numbers drawn for the Thursday, May 23 drawing for Jersey Cash 5. By matching all five numbers, the two ticket holders will split the $679,450 jackpot, with each ticket being worth $339,725.

The winning numbers for the May 23 draw were 16, 19, 21, 36, and 37, and the XTRA number was 5.

The winning tickets were both purchased in Monmouth County. One of the tickets was purchased at Buyrite Liquors, located at 111 Route 35 South in Cliffwood, and the other was purchased at Sam's Food Market, located at 303 Route 36 in Hazlet. If you recently purchased any Jersey Cash 5 tickets at either location, you may want to check to see if it's a winner!

Speaking of winners, the stores where the tickets were purchased are feeling like winners too. For selling the winning tickets, each retailer will receive a bonus check of $2,000 from the New Jersey Lottery.
