Many people start a new year with resolutions or plans for new beginnings. What better a fresh start than a lottery win? Three lucky North Dakota lottery players started the new year with big winnings. The three prizes amounted to a total of $244,000.

Lance Gaebe, Director of the North Dakota Lottery, was happy for the North Dakota winners. He said:

We are extremely excited here at the Lottery office for these lucky winners. What a great way for North Dakota Lottery players to ring in the New Year with some really big wins.

A $200,000 prize won in Fordville

The biggest win was a Powerball prize of $200,000 from the December 30, 2023 drawing. The anonymous winner from Fordville purchased their ticket from Hugo's #10, located at 155 East 12th Street in Grafton. The prize for the win was originally $50,000, but the player added the Power Play option, which boosted the prize to $200,000. The winner plans to use the money to enjoy time with their grandchildren and save for retirement. The winning numbers were 10, 11, 26, 27, 34, and Powerball number 7.
