You'll find Suds Tavern at 1024 S Broadway Ave, Boise. Along with cold beer and a delicious menu, Suds also serves up lottery tickets.

In fact, Suds is one of the Idaho Lottery's most recent additions to the list of lottery retailers. However, that has not stopped the tavern from racking up lottery winners.

Suds began selling lottery tickets on February 1, 2024. Since then, on two consecutive days, they have sold a $1 million winning Big Money Jackpot instant-win ticket and an Ultimate Diamond jackpot ticket worth $131,634.

Scott Burney, the co-owner of Suds, is pleased as punch. In an interview with the Idaho Lottery, he said:

We had been trying for a long time to get Idaho Lottery Scratch Games in our establishment. We were thrilled we got the opportunity to offer lottery products to our patrons. But now, with two big wins in two days, this is incredible.

Suds lottery winners

Suds patron Travis Wilson recently celebrated his birthday by claiming $1 million from a Big Money instant-win ticket he purchased from a vending machine at the bar. Later the same night, Julie Chislock and her husband were celebrating Travis' win when they played a couple of Ultimate Diamond Jackpot tickets. Travis must have passed on some of his luck. Imagine how stunned Julie and her husband were when they realized they had won a $131,634 jackpot.

The owners of Suds will receive a commission of $33,163 for selling the two winning tickets.

Sud's co-owner said he loves retailing lottery tickets in his bar:

I'm riding high, this is life-changing for sure.

How to play Big Money

Big Money is a $50 instant-win game with a jackpot prize of $1 million. To play, remove the eight dollar symbols to reveal the winning numbers. Then scratch off the 42 dollar stack symbols to reveal your numbers. If any of your numbers match any of the winning numbers, you win the prize amount shown by that number. If you reveal a money stack symbol, you win $50 instantly. If you reveal a money bag symbol, you instantly win $100. Reveal a diamond symbol and win an instant $200. If you reveal a treasure chest symbol, you win a $500 bonus.

How to play Ultimate Diamond Jackpot

This is a $20 InstaPlay game with a rolling jackpot. Each jackpot starts at $20,000 and continues to increase until it is won. Each ticket has 20 winning numbers. To win, match these numbers to the numbers inside the diamonds in the play area. If you strike a match, you win the prize shown for that number. You can win several times on one ticket up to the maximum jackpot amount.

How the Lottery helps Idaho

Since launching in 1989, the Idaho Lottery has donated more than $1.189 billion in lottery revenue to Idaho public schools and buildings. It has also given out more than $3.1 billion in prizes to players and $317 million in commissions to lottery retailers.

Enjoy playing the Idaho Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
