A lucky lottery player from Midlands, South Carolina, recently turned a $100 scratch-off win into $300,000.

Was this some kind of magic trick? No. After winning $100, she spent $20 of her prize on two more lottery tickets and won her money back. She decided to keep going and bought two more tickets.

In an interview with South Carolina Lottery officials, she said, “I went out to my car to scratch them,” she said. “And I was surprised.”

She was so surprised that she dashed back into the Quick Pantry store located at 100 E Columbia Ave, Batesburg-Leesville, to check her Max Money instant-win ticket. When the cashier asked how much she had won, she told him it was too much for him to pay out.

This was the last $300,00 prize in the Max Money game. The game is no longer available to play. The winner plans to save her winnings so she can relax when she retires.
