Massachusetts lottery players, raise a glass! A lucky ticket sold in North Attleborough for the Wednesday, May 22nd Megabucks drawing snagged the $710,000 jackpot. The cash option on this winning ticket is an impressive $484,415.

This exciting win marks the second Megabucks jackpot win this month, following a hefty $5.37 million prize claimed on a ticket sold in Northborough on May 4th.

The winning ticket

The lucky winner in this case opted for a Quic Pic, meaning the winning numbers (5-15-16-34-35-36) were randomly selected by the Lottery computer. The winning ticket was purchased at Pick 'N Pay located at 54 South Washington St. in North Attleborough.

Megabucks winners have a full year from the drawing date to claim their prize. If you think you might be holding the winning ticket, head over to the Massachusetts State Lottery website for instructions on claiming your rightful reward.

New and improved Megabucks: More chances to win!

The Massachusetts State Lottery revamped Megabucks in November 2023, focusing on giving players more value. Here's what you can expect:

  • Boosted odds: They've shrunk the number pool from 49 to 44, significantly improving your odds of winning the jackpot and all prize tiers. Now, your chances of becoming a Megabucks millionaire are a more favorable 1 in 7 million, compared to the previous nearly 1 in 14 million.
  • Bigger jackpots: The redesigned Megabucks boasts a higher average jackpot, making the top prize even more tempting.
  • Double the fun: All non-jackpot prize tiers now offer double the payout compared to the previous format. That means even smaller wins pack a bigger punch.

How to play Megabucks

Ready to test your luck on the exciting new Megabucks? Here's a quick rundown:

  • Pick your numbers: Choose six numbers between 1 and 44. Feeling indecisive? Let fate decide! Opt for a Quic Pic for a random selection. Each play costs $2.
  • Play multiple drawings: Want to try your luck with several drawings in a row? Simply mark the number of drawings you want on your playslip.
  • Get your ticket: Hand your completed playslip to a Lottery Sales Agent or request a Quic Pic. Double-check your ticket for accuracy, and remember to sign the back for ownership.

Test your luck with Megabucks drawings every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:00 PM. With more chances to win and a revamped prize structure, Megabucks offers an exciting opportunity to turn your everyday routine into an extraordinary win.
