The New York Lottery has been making dreams come true for some seriously lucky players! From a life-changing Cash4Life jackpot to million-dollar scratch-off prizes, these winners didn't just play the lottery — they hit it big.

With life-changing prizes being claimed across the state, the excitement is spreading faster than the scratch of a coin on a winning ticket.

Top prize winner in Cash4Life game

It took this lucky winner a few months to head to the lottery headquarters to claim their prize, but they finally did and walked away a millionaire. Nelson Lanfranco of Rockaway Beach matched all six of the winning numbers in the Cash4Life drawing on October 10, 2024.

In doing so, Lanfranco won the top prize in the game of $1,000 a day for life. He had the option of getting the winnings paid out annually — $365,000 a year for life for a minimum of 20 years — or a one-time cash option, which guarantees a payout of $7 million.

Lanfranco chose to receive the one-time payment, which resulted in a single lump sum payment of $4.29 million after the required withholdings.

The winning numbers for that October 10, 2024, drawing were 5, 7, 12, 34, and 60, and the Cash Ball was 3. Lanfranco purchased the winning ticket at Smokes 4 Less, located at 59 North Plank Rd. in Newburgh.

Another lifetime prize rewarded

These lifetime prizes were popular for New York Lottery players, with another player winning $1,000 a week for life after winning the top prize in the $1,000 A Week For Life scratch-off game.

The lucky winner, Greig Quick, Jr. of Ferndale, had the option of choosing the $1,000 a week for life annuity payments or a one-time lump sum payment, which gives winners a payout of $1 million.

Quick chose to receive the one-time lump sum payment after making his way to lottery headquarters recently, which totaled $689,977 after the required withholdings. He bought the winning ticket from Citgo, located at 463 Main Street in Woodbourne.

More $1 million scratch-off winners

Lottery officials announced two other lucky lottery winners. Both these winners got their $1 million prize playing scratch-off games.

John Brownson, Jr. of Depew recently claimed his $1 million top prize from the Xtreme Winnings scratch-off game. He bought the winning ticket from Tops Market, located at 6363 Transit Rd. in Depew.

Brownson received a one-time lump sum payment for his winnings, which worked out to be $468,720 after the required withholdings. After Brownson claimed his top prize, lottery officials said there was one more top prize remaining in the Xtreme Winnings game.

The other $1 million winner came from the VIP Millions scratch-off game. The winning ticket was claimed by Eximia Victor LLC of Northport.

The winning ticket was purchased at Cards & Gifts, located at 324 Jericho Turnpike in Syosset. The LLC claimed the winnings at lottery headquarters recently and received a one-time lump sum payment of $651,000 after the required withholdings.

After the LLC claimed their winnings, lottery officials said there were 15 $1 million prizes remaining in the VIP Millions game. In addition, there were two $5 million prizes remaining.
