The Mississippi Lottery Corporation just hit a major milestone. Their flagship game, Mississippi Match 5, reached its 1,000th draw. And they're celebrating with the biggest jackpot in the game's history.
Mississippi Match 5 breaks records at $925,000
The jackpot climbed to $925,000. That's the largest prize since the game launched in April 2021.
This marks the 48th drawing since someone last won the jackpot. The last winner took home $141,000 on April 12, 2025. The previous record holder was $905,168, won on February 7, 2023, at Sprint Mart #4136 in West Point.
How does Mississippi Match 5 work? The jackpot rolls over every night until someone wins. Then it resets to $50,000. Tickets cost $2. Players can add a $1 multiplier to boost non-jackpot prizes.
Jeff Hewitt, President of the Mississippi Lottery Corporation, said:
"This is a landmark moment for Mississippi Match 5. The escalating jackpot reflects the enthusiasm of our players and the game's increasing appeal."
Could Mississippi see its first Match 5 millionaire? If tonight's drawing produces no winner, that milestone becomes very real.
Lotto America climbs toward historic territory
The multi-state Lotto America jackpot reached $37.22 million. That makes it the second-largest prize in the game's history. The cash option stands at $16.36 million.
This jackpot built momentum over 169 consecutive drawings without a grand prize winner. The last jackpot winner emerged on April 1, 2023. An Iowa player claimed the game's record $40.03 million annuitized jackpot.
Lotto America operates in 15 states. Drawings happen three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Tickets cost $1. The All Star Bonus option costs an extra $1 and multiplies non-jackpot prizes up to five times.
The next drawing takes place on Saturday, May 31, at 10:15 p.m. ET.
Pink Panther promotion crowns final winners
The Pink Panther Diamond Tripler Bonus Promotion concluded Thursday, May 29. The final drawing included all previous non-winning entries, giving participants multiple chances at prizes.
Winners came from across Mississippi:
- $25,000 winner in Jackson
- $15,000 winner in Mantee
- $10,000 winner in Jackson
- $100 Digital Gift Card winners in Southaven, Tutwiler, Hattiesburg, Petal, and Columbus
All Bonus Promotion entries automatically enter the game's $100,000 2nd Chance Promotional drawing once the game ends.
Other jackpot updates
Tonight's Mega Millions jackpot sits at $189 million. The cash value equals $82.7 million.
Saturday's Powerball jackpot reaches $207 million. The cash option stands at $91 million.
What drives these massive jackpots? Player participation creates momentum. Each rollover builds excitement. Excitement drives more ticket sales.
The Mississippi Lottery continues expanding its reach. Could we see even bigger jackpots ahead? The numbers suggest that's exactly what's happening.
