What would you do if you won $1 million a year for life? The Massachusetts Lottery recently announced the launch of its latest $50 scratch-off ticket.

The instant game – Lifetime Millions – features a fantastic prize of $1 million a year for life. The $1 million for life annuity jackpot prize is guaranteed for a minimum of 20 years and may continue longer. There is also a one-time, lump-sum option for the jackpot, which is a total of $15.4 million. Mass residents can now purchase this game from lottery retailers throughout the state. There are three $1 million a year for life prizes available in this game.

State Treasurer Deborah B. Goldberg, Chair of the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission, said:

We released our first $50 lottery ticket last year, and it quickly became the best-selling ticket in the country.

She added that Massachusetts Lottery players had been asking for another chance to win big, and that's exactly what they have been given with Lifetime Millions.

How to play Lifetime Millions

To play this $50 instant-win game, first, remove the ten silver dollar symbols to reveal the winning numbers. Then, remove the 35 stacks of cash symbols to reveal your numbers. Scratch off the $100 bonus box. If you reveal a gold bar symbol, you win $100 instantly. Scratch of the $500 bonus box. If you reveal a sack of coins symbol, you win $500 instantly. Scratch off the $1,000 bonus box, and if you reveal a diamond symbol, you win $1,000 instantly. The prize range for this game is $100, $500, $1,000, $5,000, $10,000, $20,000, $50,000, $1 million ($50K/YR/20YRS), $2 million ($100K/YR/20YRS), and $1 million a year for life. The odds of winning in the new game are 1 in 4.10.

Mark William Bracken, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Lottery, said:

We are excited to give Mass Lottery players their first-ever chance to win a million dollars a year for life instantly. With three tiers of grand prizes, second chances to win up to $50,000, and no break-even prizes, Lifetime Millions offers a wide range of ways to win.
