Luck is in the air in the North Star State. Two Minnesota players have won Lotto America jackpots in the last two months.

The most recent win was for the drawing on April 24. The winner purchased the ticket from Cub Food, located at 2050 Northdale Boulevard in Coon Rapids. The cash option for this prize is worth around $1.43 million. The winning Lotto America numbers were 7, 12, 17, 22, and 52, with 3 as the Star Ball.

The winner must claim the prize from the Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville. If you are holding the winning ticket, you have 60 days to choose whether you wish to receive your prize as an annuity or the one-time lump-sum cash option. You have one year from the date of the drawing to claim your cash prize.

Another Minnesota millionaire

Less than a month ago, a Roseville player claimed a $3.73 million Lotto America jackpot with a ticket that was purchased from Cub Foods at 1201 Larpenteur Ave W. Roseville. The winner chose the one-time, lump-sum cash option and collected $1.78 million after tax withholdings.

The anonymous player initially won $2 with a Lotto America ticket and decided to use his winnings to buy two more tickets. Luck was on his side because one of them matched all five numbers and the Star Ball from the drawing on Monday, March 4, 2024. The winning numbers were 4, 5, 8, 22, and 47, with a Star Ball number of 6.

In an interview with the Minnesota Lottery, the man said:

I was in disbelief. I double-checked the numbers, and then I texted my friends and said, "Call me." I told them not to tell anybody, but you know how that goes.

The winner said he is looking forward to spending some of his winnings on buying a new car, paying off his mortgage, and becoming debt-free.

How to play Lotto America

Minnesota Lotto America is a multi-state lottery drawing game. The first Lotto America jackpot was won in Minnesota on March 14, 2018. The winner claimed a $22.8 million prize. The second, worth $21.6 million, was won on July 10, 2019. You could be the next Lotto America jackpot player.

The game costs just $1 to play, and there are nine ways to win. To play, choose five numbers between 1 and 52 and one number between 1 and 10 for the Star Ball. If you prefer not to select your own numbers, you can opt for the Quick Pick, and the computer will generate random numbers for you.
