Can you imagine going to a bar for burger night and walking out with $200,000?

That is what one lucky Michigan man did as he hit up his local bar for burger night like he does every week. He always plays Club Keno while enjoying his burger, but the sweet taste of victory probably tasted a lot better than that burger for this 57-year-old player.

The lucky draw

The Berrien County man, who chose to remain anonymous, went to the Chatterbox Bar & Grill, located at 390 Territorial Road in Benton Harbor, for his weekly burger night. He always plays Club Keno while there, and this night was no different.

The man's Club Keno numbers were 3, 15, 19, 26, 38, 42, 49, 56, 67, and 73. He matched 10 of the 20 Club Keno numbers drawn in draw 2302076 on February 28. By matching those 10 numbers, the man won $100,000. He also played the KICKER, which doubled his prize to $200,000.

“I might win big here”

When talking with lottery officials, the man said he always buys a few Club Keno tickets while at the Chatterbox. He said:

It was nearing the end of my draws, and I'd only won $4, so I thought that was all I was going to win. On the third to last draw, I matched four numbers, then 5, and so on, and I thought to myself: “I might win big here!”

Win big is what he definitely did, as he ended up matching all 10 of his numbers, and he said he “couldn't believe it.” He is still in shock, as he said:

Winning still hasn't sunk in.

Claiming the big check

The lucky player recently visited Lottery headquarters in Lansing and claimed his big prize. He has some big plans with his winnings, as he said he plans on paying some bills, putting a down payment on a new home, and saving for retirement.

Club Keno — how does it work?

Club Keno is a draw game that can be played at Lottery retailers across the state. Drawings take place every three and a half minutes. Players can get results and watch live drawings online at the Michigan Lottery website.

Club Keno gives players 37 different ways to play and win. Players can select up to 10 numbers to match from one to 80 or do a Quick Pick and have the computer select the numbers for you. You need to select a wager amount per draw, which you can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10, or $20 per draw.

You can also add the KICKER, which can increase your Club Keno prizes up to 10 times. The cost to add the KICKER to a Club Keno ticket is the same amount as your wager per draw, so if you wagered $2 per draw, then the KICKER would be $2 to add on. The prize amounts vary based on the amount the player wagered and how many numbers they selected.

Enjoy playing the Michigan Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
