Players win $738K in Jersey Cash 5 and $250K in Pick-6 Double Play

Jersey Cash 5 crowned its 44th winner this year, but will Pick-6 create the state's biggest win of 2025?

It's been a jackpot-packed week in New Jersey, and Thursday night only added to the excitement. One player walked away with a six-figure Jersey Cash 5 jackpot, while another cashed in big on a Pick-6 Double Play ticket. Add in a life-changing prize from earlier in the week, and it's safe to say lottery players across the Garden State have plenty to celebrate.

Jersey Cash 5 jackpot win

For the 44th time this year, a player in New Jersey matched all the winning numbers drawn in the Jersey Cash 5 game to win the jackpot. The jackpot had climbed to $738,102 before last night's win.

The winning numbers for the August 21 drawing were 11, 27, 29, 41, and 43. The XTRA was 2, and Bullseye was 43.

The winning ticket was purchased at LK Liquors LLC, located at 3562 State Route 27 in Kendall Park. For selling the jackpot-winning ticket, the retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus from the New Jersey Lottery.

With the jackpot win, the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot now resets to $150,000 for the Friday, August 22 drawing.

Double Play win for Pick-6 player

In addition to the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot win, there was a big win for Pick-6 players last night, too. While it wasn't a jackpot win, it was still a very nice prize for one lucky Double Play player.

For the main draw on Thursday, August 21, the winning numbers were 6, 8, 14, 17, 23, and 45. No tickets matched all of the winning numbers drawn, so the jackpot rolled over to $10.2 million for Saturday night's drawing.

However, there was one lucky ticket purchased in Monmouth County that matched all six of the Double Play numbers to win the $250,000 Double Play top prize. The winning Double Play numbers were 2, 10, 17, 20, 43, and 45.

For Double Play, Pick-6 players can add this option for an extra $1 per play. This gives them a chance to win up to $250,000. The winning ticket was purchased at Acme #780, located at 2007 Route 35 in Wall Township.

Another big win this week in New Jersey

While it was a lucky Thursday night in New Jersey, the week had already been lucky for New Jersey lottery players. A player in Union County won the second-tier prize for the Cash4Life draw game to win $1,000 a week for life, with a cash option of $1 million.

The big win happened on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. The winning white ball numbers for that night were 4, 6, 8, 33, and 35, and the Cash Ball number was 2.

The winning ticket, which matched all of the winning white ball numbers but missed out on the Cash Ball number, was purchased at Varsha Convenience Store, located at 900 Grove St. in Elizabeth. For selling the winning ticket, the lucky retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus from the state lottery.

Enjoy playing the New Jersey Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
