There's a new Jersey Cash 5 jackpot winner! A ticket holder in Camden County matched all five numbers drawn on Wednesday, June 19th, winning a $972,775 jackpot.

The winning numbers were 6, 14, 21, 25, and 44. The XTRA number was 2. The winning ticket was sold at Wawa #391 on Route 73 in West Berlin. Wawa is celebrating a win, too, earning a $2,000 bonus check for selling the winning ticket.

How to play Jersey Cash 5 and boost your odds of winning

Think you might be the next big winner? Here's a quick rundown on how to play Jersey Cash 5, along with some tips to improve your chances of taking home a prize:

  • Pick five numbers between 1 and 45. Each play costs just $1, making it an affordable way to try your luck.
  • Drawings are held every night at approximately 10:57 PM. Remember, you need to purchase your tickets before 10:53 PM to be eligible for that day's drawing. Don't miss out!

If you want to add some extra excitement (and potentially more money) to your Jersey Cash 5 experience, consider adding XTRA for an extra $1 per play.

Here's how it works:

  • If you match three or more of the winning numbers, your prize (excluding the jackpot) gets multiplied by the XTRA number.
  • Even if you only match two numbers, you can still win $2 with XTRA.

More ways to win with Jersey Cash 5

While the jackpot is certainly the biggest prize, it's not the only way to win with Jersey Cash 5. Here's a breakdown of the other prize tiers:

  • Match 4 numbers: Win $500 (without XTRA)
  • Match 3 numbers: Win $20 (without XTRA)
  • Match 2 numbers with XTRA: Win $2

When you're ready to play, consider these strategies.

For an extra touch of personalization, ditch the Quick Pick and choose your own numbers. Select a combination that holds meaning for you, like birthdays or anniversaries.

Consider teaming up with friends, family, or colleagues to form a lottery pool. This increases your buying power and widens the net for potential winners.

Consistency is key. Regularly participating in drawings means more chances to hit that winning combination.

After every drawing, be sure to check your tickets carefully. Don't miss out on your chance to claim a prize!

June's Jersey Cash 5 winners

  • June 3rd: Someone in Morris County became $295,481 richer after matching all five winning numbers.
  • June 10th: A Somerset County resident won a $292,372 jackpot.
  • June 11th: Mercer County chimed in with a winner who pocketed $192,763.
