Monday's Powerball drawing saw two lucky Powerball players each win a prize of $1 million, one in Florida and one in New York.

The winning numbers for the drawing were 7, 11, 19, 53, 68, and Powerball number 23.

The Florida $1 million ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven store located at 331 West Silver Star Road in Ocoee. The winner matched five numbers but not the Powerball number. The other ticket was sold in New York.

You could be a massive Powerball winner tonight

The jackpot for tonight's Powerball drawing has risen to $865 million with a cash value of $416.1 million. This is the fifth-largest jackpot in the game's history. The drawing will take place at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.

Powerball's biggest winners

The largest Powerball jackpot to date, which is also the largest jackpot in the history of the U.S. lottery, was $2.04 billion. This prize was won on November 7, 2022, by California Lottery player Edwin Castro. Edwin chose to receive his prize in a one-time lump sum payment of $997.6 million.

In second place is the $1.765 billion jackpot that was won on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023. This prize was won in California by a group of players represented by Theodorus Struyck.

The third-largest prize in Powerball history was $1.586.4 billion. This jackpot was won on January 13, 2026. The prize was split between three tickets sold at a Publix grocery store in Melbourne Beach, Florida, a 7-Eleven in Chino Hills, California, and Naifeh's Food Mart in Munford, Tennessee.

Fun facts about Powerball

Here are some fun facts that may surprise you about Powerball:

  • Luckiest numbers: Although you may feel that 13 is an unlucky number, it has popped up frequently as the Powerball number. Another popular red Powerball number is 19. The most commonly drawn white numbers are 16, 26, 22, 32, and 41.
  • Fortune cookie winners: In 2005, more than 110 Powerball players won the second prize of $100,000 after playing the numbers found in a Fortune cookie. The winning numbers were 22, 28, 32, 33, 39 and Powerball number 40. The message on the cookie read, “All the preparation you've done will finally be paying off.”
  • Caring is sharing: You may be surprised to learn that 83% of lottery winners share their winnings with at least one family member. The most likely to receive some cash are siblings and, after that, their children and parents.
  • The sky's the limit: After the jackpot has been won, the Powerball lottery normally starts with a new jackpot of $20 million. However, there is no limit to how high it can roll over. The highest amount yet has been $2.04 billion, but imagine if it reached even higher!

Good luck with tonight's Powerball drawing, and please remember to play responsibly.
