A player from Grand Stand, South Carolina recently came forward to claim a prize of $200,000 that he won playing the Palmetto Cash 5 lottery game. The man, who chose to remain anonymous purchased his winning ticket from the Circle K at 2591 Glenns Bay Road in Surfside Beach. In an interview with the South Carolina Lottery, he said he couldn’t believe his luck. Even after checking his ticket several times, he still had someone read the winning numbers back to him.

The winning numbers for the drawing, which was held on December 12, were 7, 16, 23, 24 and 35. When he was asked what he was going to do with his winnings, he replied, “I’m not sure yet.”

How to play Palmetto Cash 5

This is a five-number lottery game. Each play costs $2. The game has four ways to win prizes between $2 and the jackpot. The jackpot starts at $100,000 and increases by at least $10,000 each day until it’s won. The game has built-in multipliers with all non-jackpot prizes being multiplied randomly by X2, X3, X5, or X10. Drawings are held every day at 6:59 p.m. and you can watch them on your local TV station.

To play Palmetto Cash 5, you must select five numbers between 1 and 42. If you don’t wish to choose your own numbers, you can opt to have them selected at random by selecting the Quick Pick box on your play slip. You may play up to 40 consecutive draws by checking the multi-draw box on your play slip.

The prize amounts for this game depend on the number of winners sharing the prize pool. But are estimated at the following levels:

Match Prize
Match 5 Jackpot
Match 4 $300
Match 3 $5
Match 2 $1
