Several Iowa winning tickets to expire in January 2024

Every year, billions of dollars in lottery prizes go unclaimed. In 2022, $1.5 million in prizes from games like Powerball and Mega Millions went unclaimed in Iowa. Although many of the unclaimed prizes are small, some are in the thousands of dollars. Right now, several Mega Millions and Powerball prizes in Iowa are set to expire in 2024.

Unclaimed Mega Millions in Iowa

If you live in Iowa, it's time to check your old lottery tickets. The following Mega Millions winning tickets, each worth $10,000, remain unclaimed and are set to expire in 2024.

  • The first was purchased at the Kwik Star gas station located at 2035 John F Kennedy Road in Dubuque for the December 30, 2022 drawing. This ticket is due to expire on January 2, 2024. The winning numbers were 1, 3, 6, 44, 51, and Mega Ball number 7.
  • A ticket was purchased at Quik Trip #513, 4600 Merle Hay Road, Urbandale. This ticket is due to expire on April 15, 2024. The winning numbers for the April 4, 2023, drawing are 1, 37, 45, 62, 64, and Mega Ball number 4.
  • A ticket was purchased at a Jo Stop convenience store located at 828 B 471st Street in Northwood. This ticket is due to expire on January 24, 2024. The winning numbers for the July 28, 2023, drawing are 5, 10, 28, 52, 63, and Mega Ball number 18.
  • Another ticket was purchased at Hy-Vee #1148, 4605 Fleur Drive, Des Moines. This ticket is due to expire on June 3, 2024. The winning numbers for the December 5, 2022, drawing are 18, 35, 40, 64, 67 and Mega Ball number 18.

Unclaimed Powerball tickets in Iowa

Have a second look at your Powerball tickets bought earlier this year. The following Iowa Lottery Powerball winning tickets remain unclaimed and are due to expire next year:

  • A Powerball ticket worth $2 million was purchased from Casey's #2667, located at 403 Stephans Street, Tiffin. This ticket is due to expire on April 4, 2024. The winning numbers for the October 7, 2023, drawing are 47, 54, 57, 60, 65, and Powerball number 19.
  • Another Powerball ticket worth $2 million was purchased at Clinton Liquor, 1641 South Bluff Boulevard, Clinton. This ticket is due to expire on May 23, 2024. The winning numbers for the November 25, 2023, drawing are 27, 33, 63, 66, 68, and Powerball number 9.
  • A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was purchased at Kum & Go #2093, 409 Nile Kinnick Drive South, Adel. This ticket is due to expire on April 1, 2024. The winning numbers for the October 2, 2023, drawing are 12, 26, 27, 43, 47, and Powerball number 5.
  • A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was purchased at Hy-Vee #1142, located at 3221 SE 14th Street, De Moines. This ticket is due to expire on April 29, 2024. The winning numbers for the November 1, 2023, drawing are 22, 26, 39, 47, 63, and Powerball number 12.
  • A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was purchased at Git-N-Go Convenience Store #6, Located at 5736 Franklin Avenue, Des Moines. This ticket is due to expire on June 6, 2024. The winning numbers for the December 9, 2023, drawing were 5, 25, 26, 40, 60, and Powerball number 1.
  • A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was purchased at Casey's #2921, located at 3725 Beaver Ave, Des Moines. This ticket is due to expire on June 23, 2024. The winning numbers for the December 16, 2023, drawing were 3, 9, 10, 20, 62, and Powerball number 25.
