A $2 Quick Pick ticket turned into a huge jackpot win for this Maryland Lottery player, becoming the sixth Multi-Match jackpot winner in 2024!

Help from the computer

On July 31, a Baltimore resident decided to try their luck and bought a $2 quick-pick ticket for the August 1 drawing of Multi-Match. It turned out to be a very wise decision, as the computer generated the winning numbers for that night, and they won the $540,000 jackpot!

The winning numbers for that August 1 drawing were 15, 22, 25, 26, 34, and 35. Their Quick Pick ticket matched all six numbers to win $540,000.

The lucky winner, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased the ticket at Sunoco, located at 1400 Liberty Road in Eldersburg. For selling the winning ticket, the lucky retailer will get a bonus check of $1,000 from the Maryland Lottery.

The sixth jackpot win of the year

For those Multi-Match players, this Maryland Lottery game has been lucky in 2024. Lottery officials said this was the sixth Multi-Match jackpot awarded in the state this year.

The previous jackpot winners for 2024 have hit jackpots ranging from $500,000 up to $2.1 million. These jackpots were won on March 25, April 29, May 30, June 3, June 20, July 15, and August 1.

This includes lucky winner Tawny Barnwell, who recently claimed her jackpot-winning ticket of $540,000 from lottery headquarters. She screamed for joy after discovering her win, waking up her husband in the middle of the night!

New truck for this lucky winner

While the lucky winner above didn't share their plans for their winnings, another lucky winner is ready to start shopping for a new set of wheels after winning the top prize on an instant ticket.

The Charles County man, who chose to remain anonymous, made his regular stop at his usual lottery retailer. He planned on buying a scratch-off ticket that day, and he only needed one Gold Rush 7s Tripler ticket to find his big win: the top prize of $50,000!

The asphalt contractor purchased the winning $5 instant ticket from Dash In, located at 30100 Three Notch Road in Charlotte Hall. For selling the top-prize winning ticket, Dash In will receive a $500 bonus check from the Maryland Lottery.

The lucky winner quickly scratched his ticket, which revealed a “7” symbol, and the prize for that symbol was the game's top prize of $50,000. Of course, he was quite shocked to see that amount!

After heading to lottery headquarters to collect his winnings, he told officials that his first order of business for his winnings was to buy a new truck.

Gold Rush 7s Tripler is a $5 instant game from the Maryland Lottery, which went on sale in May. The game started with eight $50,000 top prizes. After this lucky winner claimed their prize, there are now five still remaining, as well as other prizes ranging from $5 to $5,000.

Enjoy playing the Maryland Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
