On June 27, 2024, Michigan Lottery history was made when a lucky player from New Baltimore walked away with a record-breaking $963,040 Fantasy 5 jackpot.

This is the largest prize ever awarded in the game's history, which began in 2004.

The winning numbers were 04-05-08-22-38, purchased at Smoker's Express on D W Seaton Drive in New Baltimore. This surpasses the previous record of $924,880 won in January 2020.

The winner is urged to contact the Lottery's Player Relations division at 844-917-6325 to claim their life-changing prize. Remember, Fantasy 5 tickets are only valid for one year from the drawing date.

Ready to play Fantasy 5?

Fantasy 5 offers daily chances to win a life-changing jackpot, all for just $1 a play. Here's a breakdown of how to join the fun.

Start by picking your numbers.

  • Grab a playslip at your local retailer or head online.
  • Choose five lucky numbers from 1 to 39.
  • Feeling indecisive? No worries! Opt for "Easy Pick" and let the system generate random numbers for you.

Increase your odds.

  • Double Play (+$1 per play): Want another shot at winning? Add Double Play to your ticket. This enters your numbers in a second drawing after the main Fantasy 5 one, offering prizes up to $110,000!
  • EZmatch (+$1 per play): Try EZmatch for instant win potential. This option provides you with additional numbers alongside your Fantasy 5 picks. If any of your EZmatch numbers match any of your Fantasy 5 selections, you win the prize shown next to that EZmatch number!

If you're feeling lucky, play in advance. Both online and in-store options allow you to select tickets for up to 60 consecutive drawings. This way, you never miss a chance to win while you're busy living life.

Drawings are held daily at 7:29 PM. Catch them live on TV or check the results online or through the Michigan Lottery app to see if your numbers match!

More Fantasy 5 winners

Not only did Wednesday night's draw produce a record-breaking jackpot, but May and June have proven to be lucky months overall for Fantasy 5 players!

  • Shelby Township Celebration: On May 17, a resident of Shelby Township won $100,000 after matching the winning numbers.
  • Gladwin County Goes Glad: Earlier in June, on May 3, a lucky player from Gladwin County secured a $110,000 Fantasy 5 jackpot.

Every ticket helps Michigan schools

Nearly 97 cents of every dollar spent on lottery tickets goes back to the state, primarily benefiting public schools. In 2023 alone, the Michigan Lottery contributed over $1.3 billion to Michigan's education system.
