Bruce Quigley, 54, from Clarkston, Michigan certainly is Lucky for Life. On Thanksgiving Day he won $25,000 a year for life when his Lucky for Life ticket matched the five white balls drawn on November 23. The winning numbers were 7, 25, 33, 43, and 44. He bought his winning ticket online at the Michigan Lottery website.

It’s no joke; it’s Lucky for Life

Bruce told the Michigan Lottery, “I have a Lucky for Life online subscription so that I never miss a draw. The morning after the drawing, I checked my email while me and my wife were drinking coffee and I saw an email from the Lottery that I had never seen before.”

He added that when he logged into his lottery account, he saw that he had an amount of $300,000 pending. At the time, Bruce said, he had no idea how he could have won, so he thought it was a joke.

“I told my wife: ‘I think we may have won the lottery, but I’m not sure.’ After looking around on the website, I realized I had won $25,000 a year for life on Lucky for Life and that’s when I said to my wife: ‘We really did win the lottery!’ It was the best Thanksgiving ever!”

Bruce recently picked up his prize from the Lottery Headquarters. He opted for the one-time lump sum payment of $390,000 instead of the annuity payments of $25,000 a year for 20 years or life. He told the Michigan Lottery that he intends to save his winnings for his retirement.
