Missouri Lottery players didn't have to wait long for something new. Just one day after Lotto took its final bow, a fresh game stepped into the spotlight, and it's promising even mo' excitement, prizes, and possibilities. But is MO Millions a jackpot upgrade, or a new game with a twist?

What is MO Millions?

MO Millions is a new in-state draw game from the Missouri Lottery. Each play costs $2 and includes a built-in Bulls-Eye feature.

For each drawing, one of the six winning numbers will be randomly selected as the Bulls-Eye number. If a player happens to match this Bulls-Eye number, it will increase their prize.

MO Millions players also have EZ Match and/or Double Play available as add-on options for an additional $1 per MO Millions play.

The MO Millions jackpot starts at $1 million and grows until someone wins. The drawings for MO Millions are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at approximately 8:59 p.m. CT.

Ticket sales for MO Millions started on Sunday, October 19, 2025, and the first drawing will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.

MO Millions versus Lotto

While lottery officials haven't come out and said that MO Millions is a replacement for the popular in-state Lotto game, which ended a 28-year run on Saturday, October 18, 2025, it seems like MO Millions is, at least a spiritual replacement, since ticket sales started the day after the final Lotto drawing was held.

Let’s compare the two and see how they stack up against each other, especially in terms of prizes and odds of winning.

MO Millions:

  • $2 per play.
  • $1 each to add-on EZ Match and/or Double Play.
  • There are eight prize levels for the regular game, which range from $2 for matching 2 numbers + Bulls-Eye up to the jackpot for matching all six numbers drawn. There are also eight prize levels for the Double Play game, which range from $3 for matching 2 numbers + Bulls-Eye up to $50,000 for matching all six numbers drawn.
  • The odds of winning the jackpot in Mo Millions are 1 in 5.25 million. The overall odds of winning any prize playing MO Millions are 1 in 11.74.
  • For EZ Match, there are 11 prize payouts, ranging from $2 to $500.
  • The odds of winning a prize playing EZ Match are 1 in 4.21.

Lotto (No longer available):

  • $1 per ticket, which included two plays
  • $1 to add on EZ Match
  • There were four prize levels for the regular game, which ranged from a free Quick Pick ticket for matching 3 out of the 6 numbers to the jackpot for matching all six numbers drawn.
  • The odds of winning the jackpot in Lotto were 1 in 3.53 million. The overall odds of winning any prize playing Lotto were 1 in 20.
  • For EZ Match, there were 11 prize payouts, ranging from $2 to $500.
  • The odds of winning a prize playing EZ Match are 1 in 4.21.

When comparing the two, MO Millions is $1 more to play (and you get only one play per ticket) but it offers players a lot more chances to win, including those granted by the built-in Bulls-eye, as well as bigger and fixed prizes.

MO Millions also has better odds of winning any kind of prize but tougher odds to win the jackpot. However, tougher odds of winning the jackpot usually translate into bigger ones. No Double Play option was available for Lotto either, which gives players more chances to win money with their numbers for $1 more.

Enjoy playing the Missouri Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
