A group of three Missouri Lottery players in Warren County are feeling pretty great after taking home a $2.9 million win in the Lotto draw game.

The winning ticket

The $2.9 million jackpot-winning ticket was for the April 3, 2024, Lotto drawing. The winning numbers for that drawing were 6, 8, 12, 15, 17, and 19. The winning ticket was purchased at Wentzville Moto, located at 101 Discovery Center Way in Wentzville.

The winning ticket, in which the numbers were hand-picked by the lucky winners, matched all six numbers drawn to win the jackpot prize. The lucky winners recently claimed their prize at the Missouri Lottery's St. Louis office.

Lotto - how does it work?

Lotto is an in-state draw game from the Missouri Lottery. The drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday evening at 8:59 p.m. CT.

To play, you need to pick two sets of six numbers between 1 and 44, or you can choose the Quick Pick option, and the computer generates numbers for you. Each play costs $1 and players can add EZ Match for $1, which offers players a chance to win prizes instantly by matching any of the EZ Match numbers to your Missouri Lottery numbers.

The jackpots for Lotto start at $1 million, and the overall odds of winning a prize in the main draw are 1 in 20 and 1 in 4.21 for the EZ Match. There are four prize categories for Lotto, with the lowest being a free Quick Pick ticket for matching three numbers.

The top three Lotto prizes are pari-mutuel, which means a percentage of ticket sales is allocated to each prize category. That means the prizes can vary for every draw.

If you happen to win the jackpot, the winner can choose their desired payment option within 60 days, which is either a lump sum payment or 25 annual payments.

$50,000 scratcher prize won in Florissant

In addition to the $2.9 million prize, the Missouri Lottery announced that a lucky player in St. Louis County won $50,000 playing a scratcher ticket.

The scratcher purchased was a “500X” ticket, which was purchased at Dunn Mart, located at 1395 Dunn Road in Florissant. The lucky winner claimed their $50,000 prize at the Missouri Lottery's St. Louis regional office on April 22.

“500X” happens to be a $50 scratcher game from the Missouri Lottery. The scratcher currently offers over $142.7 million in unclaimed prizes. This includes a top prize of $5 million, two $1 million prizes, and 29 additional $50,000 prizes.

If you happen to play “500X” and aren't as lucky as this player, you can enter your eligible “500X” ticket into your My Lottery Players Club account. This will give you a chance to win $500 cash in the next monthly “Scratch Big, Win Big!” drawing.

Enjoy playing the Missouri Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
