Look out, California: New scratchers are arriving this week

The California Lottery is launching new instant-win tickets this week with prizes from $888 to $5 million.

The Golden State is releasing four new instant-win tickets this week, with prizes ranging from $888 to $5 million. Ticket prices range from $1 to $20. Here’s what’s on offer.

Year of the Dragon 2024

Year of the Dragon 2024 instant-win card is decorated with a golden dragon, which symbolizes protection, strength, and new opportunities. This $1 game could be your opportunity to win a top prize of $888. To play, simply scratch off the six golden Chinese symbols. If you match three of the same numbers, you win the prize shown with that number. The prize range is a free ticket, $2, 44, $8, $10, $18, $30, $88, $100, and $888. Non-winning tickets for this game can also be entered into the California Lottery Second Chance drawing for a chance to win up to $25,000 in a weekly draw.

15X

15X is a $3 scratch-off game where you can win a top prize of $30,000. To play, simply scratch off the four gold star symbols to reveal the winning numbers. Then scratch off the 15 gold dollar symbols to reveal your numbers. If any of your numbers match the winning numbers, you win the amount shown by that number. If you reveal a 5X, 10X, or 15X symbol, you can multiply your prize by that amount. The prize range is a free ticket, $5, $10, $15, $25, $50, $75, $100, $500, $1,000, and $30,000. Non-winning tickets for this game can also be entered into the Second Chance drawing for a chance to win up to $25,000 in a weekly draw.

Lotteria Extra

This is a $5 instant-win game with a top prize of $100,000. To play, scratch off the Caller’s Cards and one Bonus Card to reveal 15 symbols. Then, scratch off the corresponding symbols on the four columns of the Lotteria Card that match the Caller’s Card symbols. If you can match all four symbols in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row on the Lotteria Card, you win the prize shown for that line. There’s also a Bonus Game on the back of the card. To play, scratch off the five boxes and the winning card box. If any of your cards match the winning card, you win the prize for that card. The prize range is a free ticket, $6, $10, $15, $20, $25, $30, $40, $50, $75, $100, $200, $400, $500, $1,000, $10,000, and $100,000. Non-winning tickets for this game can also be entered into the Second Chance drawing for a chance to win up to $25,000 in a weekly draw.

Lucky 777s Multiplier

This is a $20 instant-win ticket with a chance to win $5 million. To play, scratch off the seven gold dollar symbols. Then, scratch off the 30 gold coin symbols. If any of your numbers match the winning numbers, you win the prize shown by that number. If you reveal a 7 symbol, you automatically win 5X the prize. If you reveal a 77 symbol, you win 10X the prize. If you reveal a 777 symbol, you win 20X the prize. The prize range is a free ticket, $30, $40, $50, $60, $100, $200, $300, $400, $500, $600, $3,000, $8,000, $15,000, $75,000, and $5 million. Non-winning tickets for this game can also be entered into the Second Chance drawing for a chance to win up to $25,000 in a weekly draw.
