It's not every week that two states strike gold at once. As one beloved lottery game nears its grand finale in Missouri, another just ended a marathon jackpot run in Arkansas.
The result? A pair of lucky tickets, two life-changing wins, and a whole lot of buzz across the Midwest.
Big win before the finale
As Lottery USA recently reported, the Missouri Lottery in-state Lotto game will hold its final drawing on October 18, 2025. Before that final drawing takes place this Saturday, there was a drawing last night, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, and a jackpot winner was crowned.
The winning numbers for last night's drawing were 8, 11, 15, 18, 30, and 34. One lucky ticket matched all of the winning numbers to win the $3.2 million jackpot.
Now the jackpot will reset to $1 million for that final drawing taking place on Saturday. After 28 years of drawing, the popular in-state draw game will take its final bow.
Jackpot run ends in Arkansas
After 61 drawings without a winner, the Arkansas Lottery announced one lucky ticket matched all the winning numbers in last night's LOTTO drawing to win the $1.34 million jackpot.
The last jackpot win for the LOTTO draw game took place on March 15, 2025. At that time, one lucky player matched all the winning numbers to win the $404,000 jackpot.
The jackpot reset to $250,000 for the next drawing, which took place on March 19, 2025. We haven't seen any jackpot winners until last night's drawing.
The winning numbers for last night's drawing were 1, 5, 23, 30, 32, and 40, and the Bonus Number was 33.
With last night's winner, the LOTTO jackpot now resets to $250,000. Drawings are held at 9:00 p.m. CT on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Tickets are $2 per play.
Top 5 biggest LOTTO jackpots
While the Missouri Lottery Lotto draw game has been around for 28 years, that's not the case for the LOTTO game in Arkansas. The in-state draw game was launched in September 2022 by the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.
With that being said, last night's jackpot win was just the fifth jackpot winner crowned since the game debuted. That means last night's win definitely cracks the top 5 biggest jackpot winners for the LOTTO game.
Here is a look at the LOTTO jackpot winners so far:
- $5.12 million – February 1, 2025; winning ticket purchased in Yell County.
- $2.34 million – April 29, 2023; winning ticket purchased in Sebastian County.
- $1.34 million – October 15, 2025; location of winning ticket not announced yet.
- $999,000 – September 13, 2023; winning ticket purchased in Little Rock.
- $404,000 – March 15, 2025; winning ticket purchased in Prairie Grove.
It's interesting, but there were no jackpot winners in 2024. However, we have now had our third jackpot winner of 2025. Is this the lucky year for Arkansans?
