Jackpot.com, one of the popular lottery courier services available in the United States, came to a new agreement with TelevisaUnivision on Wednesday. The two have partnered to supply official lottery results, as well as ways to buy tickets from the courier, through TelevisaUnivision's assorted platforms.

The deal should strategically strengthen the access for many Spanish-speaking audiences all around the U.S. to lottery services and information.

TelevisaUnivision to feature Jackpot.com lottery information

Jackpot.com and TelevisaUnivision's new deal will see the courier provide useful lottery information and availability to millions of users who might've been left in the dark previously. Those utilizing TelevisaUnivision will now have the opportunity to purchase lottery tickets and see updated, accurate results for a bunch of different lottery games.

There are millions of Hispanic viewers who interact with TelevisaUnivision and its variety of channels daily. The world's leading Spanish-language media giant includes lots of ways to retain news, including through broadcast, digital, audio, cable, and social media platforms throughout the U.S.

Overall, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are more than 65 million Hispanics living in the country. Research from MRI-Simmons claims that among them, over 15 million buy lottery tickets. Now, through this partnership, that number appears set to increase.

CEO and Co-Founder of Jackpot.com, Akshay Khanna, commented on his company's latest venture. He said:

This partnership with TelevisaUnivision underscores Jackpot.com's commitment to expanding access to safe and responsible lottery play. By integrating our lottery courier services and results across TelevisaUnivision's extensive media platforms, we can connect with millions of Hispanic consumers in a meaningful way, ensuring they have the most convenient and secure options to engage with their favorite lottery games.

For those less familiar with these third-party lottery couriers, they supply online sales for retail games, typically of the draw variety. After delivering tickets you buy for, say, Powerball or Mega Millions, the app will also securely store your digital tickets and even notify you automatically if you've won.

Currently, Jackpot.com's platform is available in seven states. These include Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Ohio. Only players in these states will gain online access to the courier through their TelevisaUnivision feeds for now.

Lottery couriers face uncertainty in the U.S.

While Jackpot.com is getting into headlines for expansion purposes, some of the other news surrounding these couriers is not the best of late. Some states have had multiple issues regarding the gray areas some of these companies operate in.

For example, in Texas, the state's lottery commission recently voted to implement new amendments that would ban these services altogether. This move stemmed from multiple jackpots being won in the state under questionable circumstances.

In fact, the Texas Lottery more recently came forward and told the winner of an $83.5 million Lotto Texas jackpot that they may never see the winnings. Unfortunately, the player utilized the Jackpocket app at the wrong time and will have to wait until the Texas Rangers finish their investigation on the matter.
