Have you played Powerball in Texas lately? Double-check your tickets. A winning ticket worth $2 million from the April 10, 2024 drawing is set to expire on October 7, 2024.

The lucky ticket, purchased at C Mart on Village Center Drive in Austin, Texas, matched all five white ball numbers (6, 7, 12, 24, 36) but missed the Powerball number (15).

Ryan Mindell, executive director of the Texas Lottery, said, "We hope to celebrate the Texas Lottery player who became a $2 million prize winner in the April 10, 2024 Powerball drawing. We encourage our Powerball players to take another look at their tickets, and if your numbers match, sign the back of the ticket before claiming your prize at a Texas Lottery claim center."

This is not the first Powerball win in Texas this year. The Lone Star State has seen its share of Powerball winners in 2024:

  • $1 Million - San Antonio (May 25, 2024)
  • $150,000 - Gainesville (April 6, 2024)

Claiming your prize

If you're the lucky holder of this ticket, you have two options to claim your prize from the Texas Lottery:

  • In-person: Head to any claim center by 5 PM on October 7, 2024. Remember, claim center hours can change, so check texaslottery.com for updates before you go.
  • By mail: Complete a claim form and mail it with your ticket (postmarked by October 7, 2024) to: Texas Lottery Commission ATTN: Austin Claim Center PO Box 16600 Austin, TX 78761-6600

Expect 4-8 weeks for processing mail-in claims.

Don't miss out!

Missing the deadline means forfeiting your claim. Unclaimed prizes go back to the state to fund programs approved by the Texas Legislature.
