February 22 was a very lucky day for Tim from Wooster. The Ohio lottery player won a jackpot prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years on the Ohio Lottery scratch-off, 50th Anniversary.

Tim purchased the winning ticket from BellStore #1159, located at 1046 North Apple Creek Rd in Wooster.

Although Tim wanted to buy a 50th Anniversary instant-win ticket, he only had $30 in his pocket, so instead, he bought a $20 Lady Luck 100X scratch-off game. He was certainly in Lady Luck's favor that day because he won $50. Taking that as a good sign, he purchased a 50th Anniversary scratch-off ticket.

In an interview with the Ohio Lottery, Tim said:

I scratched off the prize thinking I'd win $100, and I would've been cool with that. When I saw the prize, I think I about fainted! Then I hollered out I won $1 million!

Still not believing his eyes, Tim handed the ticker to the clerk to scan it. The clerk confirmed that it was a $1 million winner.

Tim chose the one-time lump sum payment of $500,000. After tax withholdings, he took home $360,000. He's thinking of spending some of his winnings on a Harley Davidson.
